Beal is a healthy scratch for Union, Traylen is in nets for Clarkson.

Opening faceoff won by Clarkson and then shot out of play. Mayotte is in goal for Union.

Traylen makes his first save and play moves back to the Union end. 10, 11, 12 line gets a shot on goal and keep some good pressure on Mayotte.

More up and down play. Clarkson starts to apply pressure and Union ices the puck again.

Union definitely has the momentum now and is applying a lot of pressure. Traylen making saves. Clarkson can't clear the zone for over a minute

Some good cycling, but as usual, no good scoring chances. The net comes off the mooring (why does this happen so much at Union, I used to think it was just Snee).

Bad bounce for Clarkson, but Traylen makes the save on the resulting play. Traylen makes another 2 great saves. Union is controlling most of the play in this period.

Brekelmens doing his thing and layed out a Dutchman. Union retaliates and gets a penalty. 10, 11, 12 trying to get the tying goal late in the first.

Shots 15-4 in favor of Union. Josh mentions that he's noticed that some shots haven't been registered though. And the net came off the mooring (3).

Well the good news is we are only down 1-0 after Union had a great first period. Traylen is playing good and we are winning a good amount of faceoffs. Our powerplay isn't doing much, but we haven't given up any short handed goals or odd man rushes.
