Predictions: RPI & Union

This weekend, we have the Capital Region teams making the trip to the North Country. What are your predictions?

I'm optimistic about this coming weekend. That's part of the reason my family and I are making the 4.5 hour trek to the North Country this weekend. I think that the first half of the year ended on a good note by beating UNH and playing hard with Lowell. The break seems to have done them well, allowed the injured to heal up and rest the whole team. Manhandling Mercyhurts should make the team feel good. As long as they stay focused for the whole weekend I think they can outplay both of these teams. Obviously the PP needs to come around. I hope it happens this weekend. As I mentioned in the other thread Union is now at least as strong a force as RPI so there's no letting up after Friday night.
Neither night will be a blowout because I never get the big discounts at the bookstore
If anyone cares I predict:

RIP 4
CU 6

Union 1
CU 2

What do ya think?

The Knights should sweep. We need to sweep if we are to advance in the PWR.

Trivia question: There is a player on Union with a Clarkson connection. Who is he?

I agree we need to sweep to build some momentum and show we are a legit RS contender along with Harvard and Cornell. Both RPI and Union are superior to Yale and Princeton whom we beat and maybe also stronger than Slu.

I'll be convinced we are on the right track when the following happen:

1) We get consistent, sound goaltending
2) We cut down...way down,...on the dumb penalties
3) The PP improves...bigtime!!
4) Someone other than the top line scores significantly

Unoin always plays us tough and Snee is a top netminder. RIP is unpredictable...they have a lot of talent but dont always play well or smartly (kinda like us!). Whats up with Marsters? Kurk may be in goal...

Anyway, I predict 3-2 over Union, and 5-4 over RIP. But I'm a lousy prognosticator!

LETS GO TECH!!!!!!!

RIP RIP: Clarkson 6 RIP 2

RIP Onion: Clarkson 2 Onion 1

As everyonoe else has said, play smart and stay out of the penalty box and we should win these two. Union I think will be the tougher of the 2 games.

Trivia Answer

Union #27 Chris DiStefano is the son of Jeff & Jackie (Steele) DiStefano (both CCT grads. Jeff in '78 and I draw a blank on mom.)

Remember, I am an old fart. I still listen to Led Zeppelin

PS There is a nice pic of Chris on northcountrysports.net
