At the end of Period 1, the score is tied at 1 ~ 1.
Wayne State scored at 1:58 of the first period on a power play goal. I'm not certain which Golden Knight was in the penalty box, but I think it was one of my favorite seniors.
At 4:51 of the first period, freshman David Cayer scored for the Golden Knights, with an assist from Jeff Genovy and ??
Clarkson will begin Period 2 on a power play, some of which expired at the end of the first period.
I am listening to the radio station from Massena, WYBG. as we do not have cable TV, but we do have the dish network.

My apologies for not posting more updates. Believe it or not, I did not have computer access for most of Period 2 and all of Period 3. I did listen to the local Massena radio station for the broadcast, which left a lot to be desired.....poor signal strength all afternoon and yesterday too.
The important thing is that Clarkson has finally won their first game. Sometime in the second period, Dustin Traylen was pulled, probably because he was assessed two penalties. Into the game comes freshman goaltender, David Leggio (sp?). David played very well and continued throughout the third period to do so. Isn't it something else that a freshman goalie gets Clarkson's first win? Good for you, David.
Anyway, at the end of the second period, Wayne State was leading by a 3 ~ 2 margin. Enter, Mac Faulkner, Captain of the Golden Knights. Mac scored the tying goal to bring to score to 3 ~ 3. Mac stole the puck from a Wayne State player and put it into the net for his first goal of the season. Next Grant Clitsome scored a short handed goal with an assist given to Max Kolu.
Near the end of the third period, Wayne State pulled its goalie and Mac Faulkner scored his second goal of the period into an empty net. WOW--let this be the start of something big for the Clarkson Golden Knights.
FINALLY, A VICTORY :)

Sorry I wasn't around to hear/read it. My brother was inducted into a history honor society and I was lucky enough to go.
9 goals on the weekend, too bad they couldnt take 4 points.
Let's Go Tech!!
