I'm getting anxious for the season so I thought I'd post a poll.
What's your expectations for the upcoming season?

I can't forget the fact that this was a ninth place hockey team last year. Despite the end of season run, we have to improve consistancy from game to game, avoid the dumb penalties, find a consistent power play, and play pedal to the metal for 60 minutes.
Fifth, which is between the hi (4th) and low (6th) that I think they'll finish.

Joe,
I agree with your assessment. Last thing I wanna hear about this season is guys in the sin bin -- I just hope that this year, there isn't a new recruit with a "tough guy" reputation that the refs want to make an example of.
I posted 1st, bacause I've got my tix lined up for Columbus...... :) but my head tells me that youall have got it about right -- unfortunately somewhere around 4th seems probable, unless Roll, Dreschel & Houle come up with some magic way to infuse the entire team with a consistent hard working, smart playing effort every time out. Hope springs eternal. LGT!!!

You bring up some valid points. I picked them for 3rd... thinking of the many close, well played games that they lost at the end there. Talking to the players they really thought that the team was better than their record showed, and I believed them. With the renewed emphasis on defensive penalties, and Tech's reputation... I'm afraid we may see alot of PIM again. So I suppose my 3rd pick may be what I logically think will happen somewhat influenced by what I hope will happen.
My guess is 4th behind Gate, Dart, and RPI  in no particular order.

When I picked third I was thinking Dart and Corn for tops. What about Cornell this year? They should still be very strong if the new rule enphasis doesn't bother them too much.

Yep I thought about Cornell also. To me the top 5 or six are really a tossup. You could probably play the season 6 times over and get six different regular season champs from among Clarkson, Cornell, Dart, Colgate, RPI and Hahvad. I'd love to see us finish first but as Joe stated, this was a ninth place team last year with a number of scoring deficiencies. We cannot afford this freshman class to come in and average less than 10 points a man. I think 2 or 3 of these guys have to come in and give us between 25 and 35 points with the others contributing 10-20 range. If not we may be relegated to a 6 to 9 finish.
