View Full Version : Knights in NHL training camps
I saw Don Smith and David Evans listed on the Carolina Hurricanes training camp roster, along with Eric Cole. Aside from Conroy, Marchant, White, Mitchell, Huskins and Dubinsky, does any know the training camp locations of any other alums?

How about Marco Tuomainen? I know he was an unrestricted free agent of the Kings and I did not hear if they resigned him...
Marko T. is listed on the NY Islanders training camp roster. Others I came across are: Dan Murphy - Flyers, Scott Thomas - Kings and Chris Clark - Flames

Cole is still listed on the Hurricanes roster...has anyone seen or heard what his chances are of sticking with them to open the season? Their opener is on Friday against the Rangers but I probably wont get to see it as I'll be out of town.

Looks like Cole is opeming the season with Carolina and Clark is with Craiger in Calgary! This has to be the most Golden Knights active in the NHL at one time ever!

I read yesterday(?) that Marko got sent down by the Islanders. Sorry for the bad news guys. Haven't seen any other names in The Globe, other than Brian Gionta the BC hockey god got sent down also. Is there going to be a pick the standings contest this year? Take care everyone, and LGT!

Looks like Cole scored his first NHL point on Friday!! He got the second assist on a goal by Ozolinsh (Brindamour got the first assist) 28 seconds into the first period. I think that is a good way to start out an NHL career.

Cole was also the second star of the game! I got to see only the last 5 mins of the game but look forward to seeing Erik at MSG in late November!

I was at this game. Cole definitely looks like he belongs out there. He shows good speed up the wing and good physical presence on the ice. I went ballistic when he set up the first goal.
A word of caution, however. He is on the team right now for 2 reasons, the first of which is the great training camp he had and the fact he deserves it. The second is the injury to Willis whose spot he is filling. Don't be surprised if he ends up moving down again, although I will be very upset if it happens. The future is bright for him however, and a more permanent position should eventually be there for him. He is also making a strong case for his staying.
By the way, he also assisted on a goal in is second game on Sunday.
If you want to read about his first goal, see a recap here: http://www.newsobserver.com/standing/collections/hurricanes/1100000036708.html
