His 8th tonite in a rout over Washington! I'm amazed he did not have more points though...it was 11-5! :D

Just found this article on CNNSI by SI's Michael Farber. I keep telling my co-workers about Todd, and that we all have to cheer for him when the Sens come to play the Bruins in January. I'm really looking forward to it. Way to go Todd! Keep up the hard work!!! LGT!

"Ottawa's White proving he can play"
An NHL adage is little men have to prove they can play while big men have to prove they can't. In Ottawa, one of the NHL's pint-size players, Todd White, is proving he definitely can. White, generously listed at 5-10, leads the Senators with seven goals and has a splendid plus nine rating. White grew up in Kanata, site of the Senators' rink, but he seemed to sneak below their radar last season, playing just 16 games for Ottawa. Indeed in parts of five seasons with three different teams, White, a top scorer in college and the minors, had
played a total of just 62 NHL games. If he continues his strong play, White will be a hometown fixture.

Just a little update:Craig Conroy was out for last night's game because he took a knee to the head in a previous game. Todd White had 2 assists last night to bring his season total to 17 points in 20 games played. I'm really looking forward to seeing Tech play at Northeastern Friday night. LGT! Have a Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

Todd got his 13th tonite...warming up for the trip to NJ and NY this weekend. I'll be the Sunday at the Garden rooting for the Rangers and Todd...the past two years he has made one appearance each season at MSG...and scored each time!

Just an update: Todd now has played 40 games with the Sens and has 14 goals and 15 assists. Within the team he's 4th for goals and 6th for assists and 5th for total points. His shot % is the best on the team. Looks like there are some Techers having banner seasons this year in the NHL. I hope he puts on a clinic here in Boston the 17th!! :)

Stemmer-bad news, buddy! Todd left the game last night with a mild concussion. He is day to day. Maybe he won't play tomorrow night :( I have soooo been looking forward to this game! The next game we got tickets through work for is Carolina. Quite excited to get to see Erik Cole play, too. That will be neat. Fingers crossed for tomorrow night!
McGillis elbowed Todd's head into the endboards/glass on the first shift of the game....he could not stand up, and required support under both arms to leave the ice.....If he is certified ready to play in the next game, it'll be a minor miracle... I don't know how much longer the NHL is going to ignore or minimize headhunting, but if they don't crack down on it soon, there's going to be a lot of players in trouble over the long haul.......

Thanks, guys. I'll have to read the article before I leave tonight. There are 13 of us going this evening and we could've made a lot of noise. I am quite disappointed. I hope Todd is doing better and the thug that hit him gets a taste of his own medicine, sooner rather than later(McGilliGorilla?). Ah well....

Looks like Whitey's back from his concusion and recorded a goal and an assist last as the Senators beat the B's last night in Ottawa. Keep up the good work Todd!!
BTW does Todd ever stop smiling?:D

I hope he doesn't stop smiling! Glad he is back and healthy and putting up points. I hope they stay neck and neck with the B's. That'll be fun.

Never stops smiling...never stops working!
Only one guy I know who rivals or exceeds Todd's work ethic...fella named Taylor.
:D
Todd got a eng toknight in Ottowa's 3-1 beating of the Flyers -- payback for the concussion they gave him in the last Flyers-Ottowa game. Way to go Todd -- keep rackin'em up!

Clarke is a bonehead! He thinks all centers have to be 6-3 and 220 to be any good...you know, kinda like Lindros!
The guy who's the GM in LA...now there's a guy who has it "figured out"! :D
Todd's work ethic is second to none and he's showing the league what he can do this year. We should all be proud of him...his work IS paying off! If only Ottawa would trade him to the Rangers so I could seee him play more often! :)

According to today's paper, Todd just signed a new three year contract with the Senators. No financial details were given in the story I saw.
Congratulations!

Todd scored his 19th last nite and had an assist. One more goal and we'll have two 20 goal scores in the NHL in the same season.
Keep it up Todd!
Not sure if we have done that before...my guess is that perhaps Dave Taylor and Craig Laughlin had 20 + in the same season...I'll have to check.

Congrats to Todd on scoring his 20th goal of the year...by far a career high!
Way to go Whitey! :D

Todd scored his first playoff goal in the Sens' 5-0 victory over the Leafs. I saw only the last 5 minutes...did anyone see the whole game?
Thanks!

Stemmer, I saw the whole game. Camped out on the couch and just watched hockey the whole night. I love having cable! Todd did very well and was right in the middle of things. Had a bit of a break away towards the beginning(?) and got pulled down to draw the penalty. The Sens didn't score on it though. It was great to see him get the goal. They kept saying how the Sens don't really fight and they are very disciplined. The differences in penalties called was pretty big just to illustrate that point. Hope the guys can keep it up tonight and put the Leafs down for good. Awesome job, Todd!!!

Thanks Pete! and tonite, you can hot the couch to catch Erik and the Canes vs the Habs! Think I'll be missing most of this one too...rats!!!

I'll be flipping between 3 things during 8 and 9pm. It'll be interesting. I hope Erik and the Hurricanes hit the Habs as hard as the Sens got the Leafs last night. I think the Habs/Canes game might get pretty nasty tonight. Will be cheering for both of our teams of course. Did you guys hear about the 30 million smackers donated to Tech? I think that's about what I owe on my school loans...... ;)

Gotta say, White showed me something in Monday's game. After being hit from behind by Aki Berg (hard enough for Berg to get 5 and a game misconduct) and taking a nasty cut above his right eye that appeared to require stitches, he didn't miss a shift. Even seemed to step things up a bit afterwards. Showed a toughness I didn't think he had. Way to go, Todd!

Todd has always played "bigger" than his 5' 10" size would indicate...he's not backing down from the Toronto "style" of play.
An awsome goal scored by Todd to tie last knights game late in the second period. Too bad Ottawa lost. Keep up the good work Todd.

"Awesome" indeed...:D
I missed it live but saw the replay about five times...that kind of effort and skill is what I meant by playing "bigger" than his 5 10 size. Todd had the most ice time of any of the Ottawa centers...he is vitally important to this team.
Hope we're all rooting for a Carolina-Ottawa series in the next round!

Todd had a short-handed goal and a helper last night against the Bruins. He had some great plays and received the 1st star of the night. NESN also interviewed him during an intermission. Good job, Todd!!

A good day for Techers in Ottawa....Tech beat Colgate in OT and Whitey had 1g, 1A and was named one of the stars ( I could not hear which one...) in the Sens OT win over the Devils.

A 3 pt night for Todd (1g, 2A) in a 9-3 drubbing of the Sharks.
One of the refs for our HS game tonite told me he's a Devils scoreboard operator. When I commented to him that he hasn't had much "business" lately, he replied how bad they looked vs Ottawa the other night. I told him well....thats partially because of a Guy I know who plays for the Sens...Todd White...
He said, "yeah, he's GOOD"! Made this ol' Techer feel proud! :D
