View Full Version : Clarkson - Cornell 2/28
Huge game tonight. I guess you could call it a gut check type game. We'll see how bad they want to come home to play in front of the hometown crowd.
Suprisingly Cornell is only 5-5-1 at home this year. No score 2 minutes in.
Oh jeez. Dan Murphy is tinight's ref. Nuff said!

1st major difference from last year, a scrum like that where Cornell gets a bunch of shots, they would have scored.
Clarkson fails to score on the PP. 11:30 to go in the 1st. 0 - 0

Clarkson kills the PP and Cornell takes an interference penalty.
"Murphy Sucks" is the chant.
I concur.
Another slashing penalty on the Knights. Murphy sounds to be in his usual form. And Cornell capitalizes. 1 - 0 Cornell.
Another penalty called on the Knights. Grenzy for interferance at the 19:42 mark.
We are going to have to stay out of the box if we want to win this one. Plain and simple.
Knigthts were outshot 11-5 in the first.
Clarkson kills off the PP. Still 1-0 Cornell
Sounds like Cornell is totally controlling the play
Clarkson now going on the PP. Interferance on Cornell.

Cornell still blocks alot of shots...
Nickerson takes another penalty. It was a good one saved a break away.
Nickerson is now 2 minutes away from taking the #5 all time ECAC penalty spot.

AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!
MURPHY SUCKS!!!!!!!
The Knights put in a shorthanded goal but it's waved off. Murphy apparently had blown his whistle.

Out of town scores all at the end of 2:
Union 1, Prin 1 end 2
Colg 2, SLU 1 end 2
RPI 3, Yale 0 end 2
Cornell 1, Clarkson 1, 2nd
Harv 3, Dart 0, end 2
Brown 5, UVM 0 end 2
If things stay the way they are:
1 Colgate
2 Brown
3 Cornell
4 Dartmouth
12 Prin at 5 RPI
11 UVM at 6 Harvard
10 SLU at 7 Yale
9 Union at 8 Clarkson
We are darned lucky to be tied at 1 after that period. Can Traylen keep this up for another 20 minutes? I for one sure hope so.

Sounds like Murphy has put the whistle away. With 13:00 mins to go I would expect a skirmish at the end of this one. Clarkson has even out play for this period.
1-1
Union goes up 2-1 on PU in the 3rd.

FINAL
Yet again. Dan Murphy' incompetance leaves the Knights on the losing end. Anyone know if he's anywhere near retirement?
