Two defensemen signed by Chicago

CHICAGO (AP) -- The Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday signed defensemen Vladimir Chebaturkin and Kent Huskins.
Chebaturkin, 26, had a goal, two assists and 26 penalty minutes in 22 games with St. Louis last season. Selected in the 1993 draft by the New York Islanders, the 6-foot-3, 231-pounder spent most of the season with Worcester of the AHL.
Huskins, 22, had six goals, 28 assists and 22 penalty minutes in 35 games for Clarkson University last season. He was selected by Chicago in the 1998 NHL entry draft, 156th overall.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
