Eddie Rowe (who should have his number retired, BTW) is the president (?) of the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League.

When I find my alumni directory, I'll fill in the rest that are in there.

my father(Bill Harrison) coached through those years and I'm pretty sure he's still up to date on everyone's whereabouts. I'll check with him and post back here.

Jack Porter (my father) is well and living in sudbury. He was just down for the Potsdam reunion. We were talking about the undefeated season after he got back. I have been looking for the New York Times article about the team from that year, which brought me to here. Anyone know where I can get a copy for him?

Your father was one of my fraternity pledge class in, I think 1953. What is he doing nowadays? Has he retired yet? I would love to hear from him. If he ever gets time to visit Florida, he has a standing invitation to fish the flats and mangroves in our flats boat.

Maybe he can fill in the blanks on some of the others I asked about. I met a guy on a construction site down in Miami about 16-17 years ago who said he knew your dad. I suspect he was full of baloney.

I was in Potsdam this past week-end, and saw Clarkson beat both Yale & Princeton.

Prior to the Yale game on Saturday nite, several members of the great '55-'56 team were introduced to the crowd at Cheel.

Unfortunately, I arrived too late to see the ceremony, but listened to the radio broadcast as I was driving to attend the game.

Grant Childerhose, Ed MacDonald, Don May, Jack Porter, Art Quartermain, Ed Rowe, Don Seale, Tom Sherby and Art Smith were the team members who came back for the mini-reunion.

As a kid growing up in Potsdam, I saw those guys play. Looking back, it seems that almost every season in the late 50's and early 60's led to a trip to the NCAA's - great days for Clarkson Hockey - and that team was the best.

I remember one game against SLU at Appleton, against a Saints team which I think included Pat Presley & Bill Sloan (later a 7th grade teacher of mine). In the middle of a bench-clearing brawl (that was allowed back then), the SLU pep band began playing "the Skater's Waltz", which helped to bring the fight to an end.
