I'm thinking of getting a board like this for my Colgate site. But I can't find any link to the company that runs this. How much does it cost? How easy is it to run, and are there many problems with the service? We are using Voy right now, but they are having slowdown problems.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean -- do you mean the bulletin board software itself, the hosting service I use, ?

The software itself. We've been using Voy boards in the past, and it's just not working.

The software for this board is vBulletin, from Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. http://www.vbulletin.com

Leased licenses are $85 a year; permanent licenses are $160. It requires PHP and mySQL. Jelsoft's website offers complete information.

NOTE -- I'm not paying a company to run this for me; I do it along with Pete & Earl_Leatherland (my moderators). All that I paid for, aside from vBulletin itself, was a hosting account with ZeonHost (http://www.zeonhost.com)
