View Full Version : Morris and Clarkson Settle
It looks like Mark Morris and Clarkson have settled. Once I have more details I'll post it (unless someone beats me to it.)

Today's Watertwon Daily Times has two articles on the trial. One on Joe Marsh's testimony and the other on MM's. From the first 3 lines, it appeared that the WDT did not like MM's. If someone could summarize, I'd appreciate it.
Also, the WDT ran a piece on the impact on SLU's (not CCT's???) athletic program if the D3 management proposal passes. Someone should screen that article vary carefully to see if the WDT used any quotes from this message board. If they did, we should sue. :)
Back on topic. I'm glad its over. Dirty laundry should never be aired in public.

Thank god this is all over! And let's hope it was both agreeable for both sides.
JR-wanted to tell you that it wasnt Denny Brown who decided to fire, rather it was the board of directors who decided it and Denny Brown who had to execute it! There is a huge difference. And i am not defending Brown for things in the past, rather just stating the fact of which happened.
Bring on the 2003-2004 season. I am ready to see some good old Clarkson hockey.
So Long...
Farewell....
Good Bye......
Let the good times begin!!!!
A new dawn has come...
Lets Go Tech.....
Good Luck..George, Dresh, & JF

As usual, it's Just My Opinion, but I believe we will compete at a very high level in a short time.
It will be amazing to see us play with heart. I know... I thought we would do it with Parker last year, but we were emotionally drained.
This year will be different. I can feel it.

JMO and Vic,
You better hope that Clarkson competes at a very high level in a short time, because if the proposed regulation not allowing D-III schools playing up to D-I to award scholarships passes, they won't be able to stay there.
I can see the UCAA Hockey League now.

Sorry, but I'm not buying that Brown had nothing to do with the way things were handled from the get go. I'm not buying that it was the board of directors had decided within a day or two of the incident that the final outcome of all this would be Morris getting the axe.
The final decision came from the board of directors, but it was heavily influenced by the input of Brown. The board just rubber stamped Brown's plan of attack.
Read the article in USCHO ..It is so true...

And after seeing the logo on the USCHO front page, I must again ask, "Why does the Golden Knights' logo have a GREEN suit of armor?"
Is this part of "moving on"? :D

It's a part of the transition to D-III ;)

Because its been tarnished. It will take a lot of rubbing to get the c@%p off the suit. :(
Does anyone have any comments/insight on Adam Wodon's article on USCHO??
I'd rather see the Knight green and have a look of intimidation instead of it being yellow(or gold) and resemble "Big Bird" with the feather sticking up. Trivial matters.

Very well written and balanced, it points out the mistakes of all involved, not just the coach and not just the admin. Both were at fault here. Morris's mistakes and the admins very poor handling of the situation.
