That was a tough game to watch, especially with the announcers as biased as they always are. At one point, the announcer even said "Colgate needs to pull a player off the ice and put two goalies in." That is not the exact quote but exactly what the point he wanted to make. The officiating was often one-sided also. Colgate got out of control, no doubt due to frustration, but that only lasted for about 5 minutes of the second period. It was enough taint the refs opinion of them and they came out on the losing side of most two-sided penalties. Examples: slashing by the Colgate Goalie after he was being smashed against the goalpost and matching double minors when a Gopher player ruffed up a Colgate forward in the crease. Colgate basically had no chance, but maybe the score should have been 7-0 based on officiating. I cheered for Colgate the whole game regardless. Good Luck tonight 'Gate.
