Toknight is senior knight. I really hope that Mike Walsh gets the start. Despite the last few losses he has been the one guy who I think has really been putting forth the effort.

So Mike, Kevin, David, Chris, Joe and Adam, what will it be. Is your memory of the last time you skate off the Cheel Arena ice gonna be one where you lost to the last place team in the ECAC? Or are you guys gonna step it up and lead this team to victory? Your choice fella's. I'll be listening no matter what.

I talked to Traylen and he said Walsh was getting the start tonight. I noticed that they dressed Weinreb last night, and I wouldn't doubt it if you may see him dress tonight.

To say the least, last knight was a huge disappointment for all of us. In today's Watertown Daily Times, Fred Parker made the following statement, "When the chips are down, you have to work to get it back, and we just have guys that will not work. I don't know what is wrong, but they just won't work to get it back. Until they decide that hard work is going to get them out of this, it going to be like "Groundhog Day"...every game's the same thing."

"We've explored many different ways, and different methods, but the end result is we don't play a shift. The guys who put on the jersey have to take a lot more pride in themselves than what they showed last night."

This just substantiates the numerous comments on this forum indicating that each Golden Knight has to play his very best each time he is on the ice. Let's hope they can do this toknight.

Number 17 did not play much last year, Vic, and he is still only 19 years old. Therefore, he does not have the experience and maturity to match that of some 21 - 24 year old Golden Knights. I offer this just as a possible explanation of whatever play was referred to by Bob and Josh.

GOOD LUCK TOKNIGHT CLARKSON GOLDEN KNIGHTS...........

all I have to say is that if we dont win tonight, we are in big trouble. Although, I have more confidance in that and this team. I think tonight will lead us with a win and the seniors on a somewhat 'high' note as the last regular season homegame of their collegiate career.

Well, being the critic that I am, I have to at least credit Parker for stating that in the paper. Hopefully coming from his mouth it will resonate with the players.

I sure hope we rebound tonight! Princeton has always played us well (ah, the memories of Mitchell bailing us out with 3 seconds left.....)

Congrats for making senior knight a success. Hopefully we can build on this one and get some points next weekend.

the announcers stated that this 'secures us home ice' in the 1st round of the playoffs and would most likely set us up to play Brown/Yale in the 2nd round if we were to win in the 1st round (like we should even think that far ahead!)

They are wrong. We are only 1 point ahead of Colgate and 3 points ahead of both Vt and SLU. So all 3 of those teams could pass us next week if they sweep (Or if Gate wins 1) and we lose both. SLU owns the tie breaker against us. We own the tie breaker with Colgate. Since we split with Vermont I think things are more complicated there.

The best thing for the team to do is to decide that they will not let one point get away next weekend. You control your own destiny. Just win baby.

What a special knight for our Golden Knights and especially for the seniors and their families. Just prior to the game, the famiies of the six seniors walked out onto the ice (on a green carpet no less). They were introduced and given flowers by their sons. And after the game in the Barben rooms, each of the seniors spoke and thanked the fans for their support throughout the year....during the good times and the not-so-good times. The seniors were presented with a beautiful wrist watch with a Clarkson Golden Knight logo.

Dave Reid was named the first star of the knight, scoring a goal and earning two assists. Kevin O'Flaherty was chosen as the second star as he also scored a goal. Clarkson's three other goal scorers were Randy Jones, Tristan Lush, and Jean Desrochers. Jean's goal was just awesome, a backhanded shot which went into the top corner of the net.

Excluding the final five seconds of the Princeton game, Clarkson was accessed only four penalties. In contrast, we took eight penalites against Yale on Friday knight. The discipline and the desire to win were obvious. But, most important in my opinion is that the confidence level of the team has been elevated.

We need that optimism to carry us forward into New England next weekend. Clarkson, currently with 19 points in seventh place, can assure themselves of home-ice advantage in the first round of the ECAC playoffs, by earning two points next weekend. Then, Clarkson's having 21 points would prevent both UVM and SLU from overtaking us, as they both now have 16 points. Thus, even with two wins from both of these teams, they would attain a maximum of 20 points. Naturally, there are many other scenarios, but I won't travel there today.

I do like this new playoff schedule as it gives every ECAC team an opportunity to extend its season and for their fans to see more hockey.

GOOD LUCK THIS COMING WEEKEND, CLARKSON GOLDEN KNIGHTS!

Thanks for the update on the playoff scenarios... Let's all keep our fingers crossed that we can secure a MINIMUM of 2-points and gain 1st round home ice.

These guys are capable of beating both Harvard & Brown, so it's time to make it happen. We need to be a steamroller from here on out, there's no room left for any margin of error. Let's hope the Princeton win builds both confidence & momentum.
