I think we have a better chance at winning this game than the Brown game Friday strictly because I think we have superior goaltending. I don't think Grummet-Morris will be as lucky in Potsdam as he was in Placid last year. We have to jump on these guys early and often. Get up by 2 or 3 goals and I think defensively we have them. That will be the key, fall behind and it will be awfully tough to pull it out.

I'm exactly the opposite from you on this one. I think the Cantabs have more depth than us.

Friday night's game will be an emotional game for Tech -- the first under a new head coach in a looonnnggg time. I believe the Knights will ride that emotion and overcome Brown.

However, like last week, riding the emotional wagon can take a lot out of you. Union is no Harvard. 2 - 4 Harvard (ENG).

I won't disagree with you there Joe. I just think we can steal one from Hahvad if we can get a couple of early goals like last year and if Walsh or Traylen play their usual steady game in the nets.

Well joe picked friday right. I'm pikcing tech sat. too. this is gonna be a big test for the Knights. If the coaches can prevent another letdown and sluggish performance this week and pull off the sweep it will do a lot to help the spirits of the clarkson family.

btw nice graphics (can you update the records)

I updated the records for you. Going to try to create some 'Clarkson Hockey' avatars as well for people to use.

Here are a couple of "avatars" to get you going. Nothing too fancy... 8^)

Hmmm, I guess I can only attach one file at a time...

Well a tough loss toknight. Sounded like the boys tried their best but once again a lack of offense did us in. Was Grummet Morris that good or did we make him look good?

The good:

Traylen Traylen Traylen

Defense held Hahvad to 2 goals

Killing the 5 on 3 pp for 1:45

The not so good:

The offense :(

0-6 on the PP

Vic,

As always, your statements about the game are accurate.

Harvard did not need to be reminded that they were fortunate to leave Cheel with two points. The two goals they scored were, at best, gifts. The first one by Tim Pettit was unassisted as the puck caromed off Dustin Traylen's shoulder into the net. Harvard's second goal by Dennis Packard went between a Clarkson's defenseman's skates right into the net. Dustin had absolutely no view of the puck.

Compounding our problems were some pathetic calls by referee Joel Dupree against Clarkson. The Harvard coach questioned him occasionally, yet when Fred Parker offered a legitimate protest, Clarkson received a penalty. Does Joel Dupree reside in Cambridge, MA?

Randy Jones's goal in the second period was positively encouraging. But most outstanding were the nearly two minutes when Clarkson played with two men down and prevented Harvard from scoring at all.

In summary, I was impressed with the style and caliber of hockey the Golden Knights exhibited. Once again, the Golden Knights never gave up. They continued their unrelenting pace, playing their best right down to the final buzzer. Lady Luck was not with our Golden Knights last knight.

Neither Chris Blight nor Adam Campana were playing, probably due to injuries. Marc Zwicky, a freshman Golden Knight from Switzerland, did play last knight, and he did well.

As a final note, as the Harvard team was leaving the ice, the goaltender, Dov Grumet-Morris, (who did play exceptionally well), put his stick over his shoulder and accidentally hit Coach Mark Mazzolini in the face.

WE ARE PROUD OF OUR KNIGHTS!
