Greetings from Florida, even though I wish we could be in Lake Placid today. I just remembered that our plane had to be de-iced before takeoff yesterday.

I just read Nathan Owens's prediction for the rivalry this evening, and it is just about what I expected. :lgt:

CLARKSON...3.....SLUZERS...2

Best of luck to the Zarbo duo, Matt and Joe, in further enchancing their goal scoring capabilities over SLU...and of course, to all the other Golden Guys who will do whatever necessary to defeat SLU for Clarkson's fifth consecutive victory.

SILENCE THE SAINTS TOKNIGHT! LET'S GO TECHERS...ON TO VICTORY FOR THE SECOND TIME IN FOUR DAYS!

I had a "conversation" with the father of a SLU freshman player (did not play on Tues) that was less than pleasant. He was close to being rude about how with his son SLU would beat bleep bleep Clarkson. I wished him well and said hope nobody gets hurt. :lgt: :lgt: :lgt: ;);) :o :o

I'm glad to see parents haven't changed. I can remember when I was in high school, a young Paul Teutel (Paulie, Jr.) was the fullback for our football team. The elder Paulie would sit in the stands all day and complain that our team wasn't winning because they didn't give his son the ball enough.

I've heard this same argument from hockey player parents for the last 2 decades while watching Clarkson hockey. Eh, I guess you have to support your kids.

I remeber the Dad of Russ and Billy Audycki......We all called him Coach Al....He was supportive to everyone especially to the guys with the least ice time>

I enjoyed reading Bill's story and FireKnight's too. It gave me the courage to tell my story from my annual visit to SLUzerville this past Tuesday. When we arrived, the man who was standing at the top of the stairway told me I was not allowed inside wearing the clothes I had on.....a lot of green of gold apparrel, even bright green and gold nail polish. I just stared at him in disbelieve as no one had ever talked to me in that manner. I was dumbfounded and didn't say a single word until he rudely repeated the same verbiage. As I handed him my ticket and marched on by, I told him if I ever saw him at Cheel Arena, he would be treated in the same disrespectful way he treated me.....what an intolerable individual.

As we are going momentarily to Parrish, FL, to ride on the Polar Express Train to visit Santa with our little grandsons, I will not be able to relate a more outrageous story until later. This train trip is an annual event, so I won't be able to listen to the Clarkson ~ SLUzer game either. I hope every Clarkson fan cheers just a bit louder for our Golden Knights.

KNOW NO LIMITS, CLARKSON GOLDEN KNIGHTS.....BEAT THE SLUZERS TOKNIGHT!

Ughh...I hope they don't always play that sloppy in the defensive zone. Ugly hockey.

Here are some possible answers and explanations to the problems the Golden Knights suffered against the SLUzers....according to Coach Casey during his post-game interview with Josh. Casey felt the team has made progress since the beginning of the season. However, the Golden Knights had never been outworked during an entire game until this game at the Olympic Arena. The team was not good in practice the past few days and their energy level was a little off. During the week, some students were giving final presentations plus studying for final exams. Clarkson did not match SLU's effort. Other observations....the Golden Knights took a lot of soft penalties with their sticks and their timing was off. Most obvious was that SLU wanted to win more than Clarkson did.

Let's look forward with optimism to January 21 when the SLUzers come calling at Cheel Arena....also remember that SLU received no ECAC points for their victory over Clarkson in Lake Placid.:)

SLU/Clarkson matches are always very emotional for both teams. It was fairly obvious that SLU was pumped and determined to outwork the Knights from the get go at Placid; they were first on the puck, outskated the Knights, and did pretty well with their passing as well. Knights came out flat and stayed that way for most of the game, even though they had the shot advantage - almost the exact opposite of the Appleton game earlier. Hopefully we will see a different Clarkson team when next we meet.
