CLARKSON VS. BENTLEY, GAME 2, OCTOBER 23, 2010

Another lateness in my arrival at the computer to listen to the game. The game is now in the second period, with Clarkson leading Bentley 2 ~ 0:)

Bob just mentioned that Clarkson has endured five penalties during this period alone.:mad:

However, Clarkson just scored its third goal by Nick Tremblay, with assists given to Brandon DeFazio and Julien Cayer.

The score now is CLARKSON 3.......Bentley.....nothing

About four minutes left in this second period.

Julien Cayer is now in the sin bin.

Jake Morley took a good shot on goal, diving to shoot the puck....but.

Bentley went over the line on a 3 on 1, but Brandon DeFazio dove to knock the puck out of harm's way.

Less than two minutes left in Period 2.

It sounds as if Paul Karpowich is really on his game toknight, so far shutting out the Bentley boys!

The end of the second period. Bob said Bentley could have had the lead now.

Back for the third period....still a bit after it began. I just heard that Bentley finally did score their first goal.....and hopefully their last....but it wasn't.:mad:

Oh no....the linesman got in the way and created an odd man rush, the Bentley just scored again.

Bentley came out with intensity in the third period and has scored two goals already.....boo

Nick Tremblay drove to the net and just barely missed scoring.

32 ~ 24 Clarkson has outshot Bentley so far.

Corey Tamblyn took a shot on goal, but it skipped along the ice and was stopped. Josh thought the shot should have been higher, giving the Bentley goaltender a more difficulty challenge.

Josh mentioned that the Golden Knights need to win this game, especially with Clarkson facing SLU later on this month in Lake Placid. The Golden Knights need to feel good about themselves and have confidence.

About six minutes remain in Period 3.

Bentley took a shot off the face mask of Paul Karpowich....oh dear.

Tonight's game has seen Clarkson spiral downward from Period 1 to Period 2 to Period 3. Conversely, Bentley is picking up the pace with good pressure. Bentley is doing a great job of clogging up the ice against Clarkson.

Paul had a problem saving the next shot. Clarkson's execution has been off .

Bentley tied the game after Clarkson lost the faceoff

Darn it, the score is tied at three apiece with under three minutes left to play.:mad:

Clarkson seems to be looking for their bearings.

On goodness, Paul Karpowich made the game saver for Clarkson on a two on one break, as a CU defenseman fell.

Near the close of Period 3, Clarkson is blistering the Bentley goal with shots, one shot just dinged off the Bentley crossbar.

Clarkson is asking for a review on that shot by Corey Tamblyn which hit the crossbar.

Apparently there was nothing changed, and we are in overtime.

Bentley took the puck away from Clarkson and shot it on net.

The linesman called icing and Jake Morley was furious.

Brandon DeFazio made a good pass to Jake Morley, but no luck for CU.

Bentley goes in again on a two on one break....thank goodness no harm was done.

One minute to go in overtime.

Scott Freeman had a good chance to score...but...

The Bentley goaltender lost his helmet.

Corey Tamblyn doesn't win the faceoff.

AND THIS WAS A KILLER TIE FOR CLARKSON AGAINST BENTLEY 3 - 3.
