Well, we are a bit late in getting home from dinner, and the game is already in the fifth minute of Period 1. Aided by our red sangrias from Carrabbas for dinner, I will do my best to provide some type of updates. We are here in Florida for the Christmas holidays.

Oh well, Jake Morley is given a holding call and Cory Tamblyn is given a matching minor with a player from BGSU. Oh m,y Bob just announced that Phil Paquet is playing toknight....that is wonderful news, as I had not had any updates on Phil's ankle injury for quite a while.

And it is also great to hear that Brandon DeFazio is back playing with the Golden Knights...I think he had a separated shoulder a few weeks ago.

Scott Freeman just took a shot on goal. The Knights have had a strong first period so far.:)

Jake Morley took a good shot on goal....both teams are playing hard....both teams are desperate....now we have heard that before, haven't we? At Colgate I think.

Paul Karpowich just made two great saves on BGSU, as he is looking very sharp toknight.

Phil Paquet is given a penalty for holding....this is Clarkson's third penalty this period.

The power play expires as Paul makes a great save. Prior to that Mark Borowiecki protected the puck which prevented BGSU from scoring.

Mike Willemsen turned around and shot the puck on the net.

BGSU is called for roughing. Clarkson's first power play of Period 1.

Matt Beca has had three good chances to score.

Chris D'Alvise carries the puck over the line and takes a shot.

Phil Paquet and Brandon DeFazio took shots on goal.

Period 1 ends with the score of 1 ~ 1.

Clarkson outshot BGSU 14 ~ 13 in the first period.

Period 2 is underway.

Scott Freeman is called for tripping...Clarkson's fourth penalty of this game.

Clarkson controls the puck as the BGSU begins.

Another faceoff won by Clarkson, then it was taken away by BGSU.

Paul Karpowich made a save, and BGSU continues to shoot the puck on goal.

Matt Beca takes the puck and moves it along the boards.

Clarkson steals the puck and Shea Guthrie shoots on goal.

Scott Freeman passes the puck to Mark Borowiecki, who in turn returns the puck to Scott. As Scott shoots on goal, the puck ended up in the BGSU's goalie's pads...too bad.

Ty Mason cuts to the net and shoots. Now Phil Paquet shot the puck...just over the goal.

Clarkson will now start its second play of the game. Shea Guthrie takes the faceoff. Chris D'Alvise shoots at the goal, but eventually, BGSU takes the puck out of the Clarkson zone.

Both teams are skating four on four for over a minute.

Bryan Rufenach takes the puck and shoots.

Unfortunately, BGSU just scored, as Clarkson couldn't get control of a bouncing puck. It was a power play goal.

A hand pass is called against BHSU,so the faceoff goes back to BGSU's end.

The power play is finally over.

It sounds as if Mike Willemsen is making some good hits on BGSU.

Dan Tuttle shoots the puck over to Phil Paquet and on to Tyrell Mason.

BGSU is called for a penalty.

Period 2 is about half over.

Clarkson lost the puck, and it was shot on the Clarkson goal by a BGSU player.

Clarkson is assessed a hooking call against Tyrell Mason....the sixth power play call against the Golden Knights in this game.

Amidst flurry of activity, BGSU puts the puck in the goal.

The score is CLARKSON...1....BGSU....3

Chris D'Alvise had the puck on the wrong side of his stick and could not get a shot off into the empty side of the net.

Brandon DeFazio had a break away and got a good shot off while being crross checked by a BGSU player.

Clarkson goes on its fourth power play of the game.

3:31 left in Period 2.

Several Golden Knights take shots on goal...but to no avail.

The power play is over, and the puck is stolen from a Golden Knight.

Clarkson is behind by two goals as Period 2 draws to a close.

BGSU attempts a wrap around, and it failed....thank goodness.

I'm sorry to tell you the score is Clarkson...1.....BGSU....3

Let's hope the Golden Knights are ready to roll in this period.

BGSU has a two-on-one break and does not score. In the process of defense, Phil Paquet knocked over Paul Karpowich by accident.

Jake Morley is knocked down and a penalty is called against BGSU.

Wow, BGSU nearly scored on our power play.

The puck is taken away from Clarkson by a BGSU player.

Julien Cayer had a good opportunity to score for Clarkson....but he didn't.

Again, BGSU shoots the puck at Karpowich.

Clarkson continually attempts to score, but their bad luck streak continues on and on.

Icing is called against BGSU.

Gary mentioined that it has been a vey long time since the Golden Knights have been in the lead in any game....it goes way back to the first Canisius game on November 28.

BGSU continues to pressure to score a goal, and they are playing well. BGSU is now outplaying Clarkson, even though Clarkson is playing hard.

Scott Freeman and Brandon DeFazio skate over the blue line together. Then Brandon breaks his stick on a shot.

Clarkson is still trailing 3 ~ 1 in the third period.

Ty Mason and Jake Morley go over the blue line together, but the shot does not go into the net.

I need to delay listening to the game for a while....sorry....maybe that will bring the Golden Knights some good luck.

I'm back with only 2:19 remaining in Period 3.

I just discovered that BGSU scored another goal while I was briefly away....oh dear.

The score is now BGSU....4.....CLARKSON....1...IT'S A FINAL SCORE....as the Golden Knights continue to be unable to score enough goals to win and unable to prevent the opponent from scoring more than enough goals to win.

This is a terrible time for Clarkson hockey and its fans.
