This is from the pre-game show with George Roll and Bob Ahlfeld:

Phil Paquet has felt better and better in practice each day this week; Phil is a big plus for the Golden Knights, and he will see some action this weekend.

Brandon DeFazio is still suffering from a separated shoulder, so he is out of the lineup this weekend.

George feels the Golden Knights will need to build on their work ethic. Clarkson has to be ready to play hard and to play smart....we need to be aggressive. We need to get out in front of the net and even get an ugly goal.

GOOD LUCK TO THE CLARKSON GOLDEN KNIGHTS......BEAT little red.

The game is underway from Ithaca. Gary Mikel mentioned the game is not a sell out, as there are some seats still available.

Nick Tremblay took a hard check into the boards. Chris D'Alvise took Clarkson's first shot on goal.

Clarkson is called for too many men on the ice. I hear those idiots from Ithaca jeering at the Golden Knights.:(

Cornell hit the outside of the goal post, and the puck is cleared down the ice.

Lauri Tuohimma clears the puck out of the Clarkson zone. The Clarkson penalty, served by Shea Guthrie, is over....with only one shot on goal by little red.:)

So far, the Golden Knights seem to be holding their own and playing well.

Phil Paquet has been playing toknight. Cornell took a shot on goal, but Clarkson is blocking passes and disrupting shots. Paul Karpowich just made a good save.

Lauri Tuohimma takes the faceoff, and it was won by Clarkson.

The longer the Golden Knights play well, the higher their level of confidence will be.

Darn it, cornell just scored. It was a hard slap shot from the point with a lot of traffic out in front. Paul Karpowich did not even see the puck.

Oh dear, Clarkson is called for a penalty, tripping on Jon Marshall....just two seconds after little red scored its first goal....bummer.

Cornell is moving the puck well on its power play, as Scott Freeman shoots the puck down the ice.

Icing was not called, it should have been, and Cornell just scored its second goal. Bob was not sure how the puck went into the net...too bad it counts.

Paul Karpowich made a great save. The score is

CLARKSON....0....cornell....2

It is disgusting to hear the rants and raves of the little red fans.

Shea Guthrie and Jake Morley both took shots on goal, but they couldn't quite knock the puck into the net.

It will be interesting to hear how the shots on goal compare at the end of this period.

Julien Cayer had a great backhand shot on net, but the puck did not go in. Cornell is very strong defensively. and they will provide very few opportunities for Clarkson.

Jake Morley is down on the ice, being held there by a Cornell player. The referee looks and calls nothing.:(

Two minutes left to play in Period 1.

Chris D'Alvise stole the puck and got a nice quick shot off on the cornell goalie.....guess what....the puck did not go in.

The period ends with Clarkson being behind by two goals. Cornell had two breaks and capitalized on both of them by scoring. Clarkson did have a pretty good period even though they did not score.

Period 2 is underway.

Shots on goal Period 1...Cornell...6...Clarkson....4

Now little red is being called for a penalty....well that's nice.

The puck goes down the ice, twice, once shot down by little red...the second time it skipped over the stick of Phil Paquet.

Bryan Rufenach nearly scored on the power play, but....he didn't.

Power play is over for Clarkson.

Dan Tuttle moves the puck ahead into the cornell zone.

SLU and Colgate are tied at 1 ~ 1.

little red took a couple of shots on goal.

WELL, a hit from behind by little red on Jake Morley.....boos ensued as Cornell is called for a hit from behind.

The puck goes up and down the ice, without any significant shot by Clarkson on the power play.

Clarkson power play is over....no goals for Clarkson.:o

11 minutes to play in Period 2.

Cornell is again called for another penalty.

Bryan Rufenach shot towards goal, and then little red took the puck.

Clarkson has not gotten a shot on goal on its third power play, which just ended.

Two more shots by little red on Paul Karpowich....neither went into the net.

Clarkson just went in on a two-on-one break, but somehow little red got the puck.

Clarkson needs to generate more offense...the Golden Knights are not getting many shots on goal toknight.

Clarkson takes the puck out of its zone.

Two minutes remain to play in Period 2.

After a non call against Tim Marks, little red scored its third goal toknight.

Period 2 ends with the score of CLARKSON 0......little red...3

At the end of Period 2, little red has outshot Clarkson by a 13 ~ 6 margin.

Bob felt the Golden Knights played very hard toknight.

Period 3 has begun.

Shea Guthrie shot the puck near the goal....just to keep the little red goalie busy.

Phil Paquet has skated well, and we all know Phil was desperate to play as he has recovered from a high ankle injury.

Paul Karpowich just made a great save, getting back into position quickly.

Bryan Rufenach moved the puck to the high shot, and the puck rolled off his stick just before he could get off a shot.....and so it goes.

15 minutes remain the Period 3.

Louke Oakley took a shot on goal, and JON MARSHALL put the puck in the little red net. The other assist was given to Mark Borowiecki.

The score is CLARKSON....1.....little red....3

its a GOLDEN KNIGHT GOAL
JON MARSHALL

Goldie Knight
12-05-2008, 09:45 PM
Hey, Jon Marshall nearly scored his second goal of the game....well it seems the Golden Knights do have some spirit.

The Golden Knights are shooting much more at the little red net.....lots of traffic in front of that net.

The momentum seems to be shifting towards Clarkson.

11 minutes left in Period 3.

Goldie Knight

A little red player is dragged down by Jeremiah Crowe, and a penalty is called against Clarkson.

Louke Oakley nearly had an initial breakaway, but things did not work out well.

little red is still controlling the puck and the power play.

Jon Marshall knocks the puck down the ice.

Shea Guthrie took a shot, which was blocked by the little red goalie.

5 minutes remain in Period 3.

Scott Freeman took a shot on goal, and the zebras called for an interference penalty while the puck was loose. Bryan Rufenach was given the penalty.

Wouldn't you just know it.....little red scored quickly on the power play.

The score is now....CLARKSON.....1.....little red....4:mad:

Clarkson is back on the power play....much to the chagrin of the little red fans.

65 seconds remain in the game. Paul Karpowich leaves his net.

Shea Guthrie went into the net and Tim Marks got hit by goaltender scribens (sp?) and Tim hit him back....matching penalties assigned.

Each team is skating with four players.

The game ends with another Clarkson loss by a score as shown above.

The Golden Knights need to start scoring numerous goals in order to reverse the curse.

Another sad knight.
