We have been out in the garage getting ready for a power outage and therefore warming up the generator so it will work when we need it. I definitely hope we don't need it, but the freezing rain continues...on and on.
Well, anyway, the first period must be over. I guess colorado college has scored....isn't that too bad?
Congratulations to Chris D'Alvise on scoring Clarkson's first goal with the assist going to Adam Bellows!....one of many Clarkson goals toknight, I hope.
Yes Colorado tied the score, now it is 1-1, Clarkson played shorthanded roughly 30 % of the first period. Three PK's vs none for CC.

Period 2 has begun...with David Cayer in the penalty box for a little while.
Well, that colorado college power play is over.....no scoring for the tigers.:)

Shea Guthrie steals the puck and he and Tim Marks skate into the zone.
It's nice to near that Mike Willemsen in in the lineup toknight.
YES, YES, DAVID CAYER SCORES CLARKSON'S SECOND GOAL WITH THE ASSIST GIVEN TO BRANDON DEFAZIO. WAY TO GO GUYS!

Oh my, the terrible tigers are angry...they are trying so hard to score, and enter David Leggio......be tough Clarkson.
Chris D'Alvise took a shot, but the goaltender blocked Chris's shot.
Phil Paquet shot on goal....same scenerio as Chris had.

Another good opportunity for the tigers....but they couldn't score.:)
Nick Dodge wins the faceoff.
We are about halfway through the second period and CLARKSON IS LEADING 2 ~ 1.

Oh rats, the tigers put a backhanded shot past David Leggio to tie the game at 2 apiece...too bad.

Steve Zalewski just missed shooting the puck into the top left-hand corner of the goal. Steve and Chris D'Alvise are Clarkson's leading scorers this season.

Clarkson had a three-on-one opportunity but could not put the puck in the tiger's net. We have got to try harder to take advantage of such chances.

David Leggio made a great glove save to keep the score tied at two each.
Mike Arciero took a shot on the tiger's goal.
The tigers are controlling the puck now....and then Nick Dodge skates the puck out of the Clarkson zone.

David Leggio continues to rob one tiger player after another. It seems that David is playing very well. Oh dear, two more chances by the tigers.
Matt Beca and Lauri Tuohimma brought the puck into the tiger zone, but they could not score.

Unfortunately, the tigers passed well and put the puck in the net past David Leggio. The tigers now lead 3 ~ 2....their first lead of the game. David Leggio has already made 23 saves in the first two periods.
What a disappointment for Clarkson fans.

Clarkson has not yet gotten a power play goal during this game.
Bob just reminded us that the tigers have not lost a single game at home this season. It would be fabulous if the Golden Knights could eradicate that record.

This is it....Period 3 has begun. And David Leggio was already called upon to make a save....he has made 25 saves already.
Darn it, the tigers just scored a power play goal to make the score 4 ~ 2 in their favor. I didn't hear which Golden Knight was in the sin bin. Good Lord, I think the goalie got an assist on that tiger goal.

Clarkson had a couple of good scoring chances, but they could not score.
Grant Clitsome was pulled down, but no call was made.
Clarkson's fourth line is playing well and creating chances.

Chris D'Alvise shoots and just misses.
Nick Dodge is called for interference.....the Clarkson bench is not happy.
The tigers go on the power play again, and David Leggio made his 29th save of the game. Hang in there, David.
Matt Beca took a shot on goal....too bad he missed.

Phil Paquet and a tiger player are sent to the penalty box.
About ten minutes remain in Period 3.
Another great save by David.....33 saves by David toknight.

Well, with 7:41 in the third period, Clarkson gets its first power play of the game.
IT'S KNIGHT TIME, GUYS, LET'S SCORE.

Nick passes the puck to Steve who takes a shot.
The tigers just scored a short-handed goal....the first one scored against Clarkson this season.....how depressing.
It's time to realize the Golden Knights will lose this game....the score is colorado college 5 and the Golden Knights 2.
What a bummer of a knight.

Finally one of those terrible tigers was caught doing a slash and went to the penalty box.
Nick and Steve nearly teamed up to score a goal. It's nice to see the Golden Knights are still trying to score.
Shots on goal....the tigers 39....the Golden Knights...17
Goldie Knight
02-02-2008, 12:49 AM
David Leggio is still making saves.
This seems like a knightmare to have the Golden Knights lose by three goals.
Depressing and disappointing for Clarkson fans....there is a little bit of fighting at the end of the game, which Clarkson loses 5 ~ 2.
