Here we are anxiously awaiting the beginning of Clarkson's first ECAC game against Quinnipiac.

In the pre-game interview with Coach Roll, George mentioned how much more solid Clarkson's defensive corps was last weekend than in the past. He said that Clarkson needs to win on the road, as we have won three games at Cheel Arena. This season Clarkson stays focused....there is no panic and no frustration when we get behind...that is due to great team leadership.

BEAT THE BOBCATS!

Oh my, the Q took two men in against one CU player.....David Leggio made the save...whew.

Not a good power play for Clarkson.

David Cayer just had a great opportunity to score...but he didn't.

The Q just went in on a two-on-one break again......no damage done.

David Leggio just made another outstanding save.

Darn it, the Q just scored...with 1:36 left in Period 1. There was a Clarkson offensive goal turnover.

Penalties......

3 Golden Knights...... Phil Paquet and David Cayer..... Actually David's penalty was for 10 minutes. Phil's penalty was 2 minutes for roughing and 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct. In addition, Scott Freeman was given a 2 minute penalty for roughing....just plain ugly calls.

2 Bobcats, so the Q is on another power play.

The end of Period 1 is here.

Bob mentioned that Clarkson attempted plays that were a little "too cute" when they could have shot the puck at the Q goal.

The Golden Knights started out well, but after the penalty to Lauri Tuohimma, they didn't play as well.

The Q leads 1 ~ 0

Clarkson is picking up its level of play in the early part of this second period.

David Leggio continues to play well.....just as we need him to....making some point-blank saves.

Goldie Knight

Excellent pressure by Steve Zalewski's line...Tim Marks and Matt Beca.

CHRIS D'ALVISE SCORES CLARKSON'S FIRST GOAL......ASSISTS BY SHEA GUTHRIE AND LAURI TUOHIMMA....AT 11:15 OF PERIOD 2.

The game is getting very chippy. Tim Marks and a Q player are off to the sin bin.

What a coincidence that the referee's name is Chip McDonald.

Clarkson, prior to this had a power play, but the Golden Knights were unable to score on it.

Another penalty called on Clarkson...Phil Paquet goes to the penalty box.

This is the Q's fourth power play of the knight....no goal for the Q.:)

More pushing and shoving by the irritated Q players. They seem to bring out the worst in the Golden Knights.

Nick Dodge is hit from behind as Period 2 ends. The Golden Knights have 15 minutes to figure out how to score a power play goal.:)

KNOW NO LIMITS, CLARKSON GOLDEN KNIGHTS!

Oh my goodness, SLU is leading PU 2 ~ 1 as Period 3 begins there.

Goldie Knight

Period 3 begins.

Nick Dodge hit the goal post. Steve Zalewski just misses scoring a goal, and then is called for holding a stick....too bad.

The Q took a good shot on David Leggio, who made the save.

15:39 remains in Period 3. Clarkson has had some good chances, but just can't seem to score.

Phil Paquet has left the ice.

Both teams have had 21 shots on goal, and both teams have scored two goals.

6:41 remains in Period 3.

Penalty against Clarkson.......oh no, no, no.

Darn it, the puck hit Jeremiah Crowe's leg and bounced to a Q player, who put it in the net....what a bummer.

The Q 3......Clarkson 2

Goldie Knight
11-09-2007, 10:06 PM
Hooking penalty called against the Q.

32 seconds remain in Period 3.

Clarkson is assessed a penalty for having too many men on the ice.

Clarkson takes a time out.....the Golden Knights have never had the lead in the entire game.

Goldie Knight

6.9 seconds remain in the game, and the Q is given a penalty.

Grant Clitsome's final shot of the game deflected off from Steve Zalewski and the Golden Knights lost 3 ~ 2......very sad, but Bob said the Golden Knights actually were never in sync throughout the knight.

A wicked loss to a team out for revenge against Clarkson.
