Randy Jones is having a great start to the year. Jones has 6 points (1 goal and 5 assists) in 8 games for the Flyers. He also leads the defencemen on his team in points and +/-. He is third in +/- in the league and, as of Oct 23, TSN has him listed as 7th in NHL player rankings for defencemen. Wow! This changes all the time though.

The announcers have mentioned several times about Jones attending Clarkson University before joining the Philadelphia Flyers. Keep it up Jonesy!

Unfortunate situation for all involved. I really didn't think it was intentional when I saw it, but I might be biased. Not really in Randy's character to make plays like that.

On Hockey Night In Canada this evening, well during Coaches Corner with Don Cherry at least, he mentioned how a player needs to have his head on swivel when going to the corners or that close to the boards.
I agree with that, but boy it was an ugly hit and it would be hard to believe that a suspension isn't coming.
Hockey is such a split second decision game and often times stuff like this happens.
I would not believe it was intentional whatsoever, Jonesy isn't that kind of player.

Keep an eye on Randy in the Conf semis that begin Riday evening.

He has had a very solid season and is more than just "on the team." ;)

Randy is the only Techer still alive in the Cup playoffs. He's had a very solid season and is now playing more minutes because of the injury to Timonnen (sp?).

I think his success and presence in the conference finals is worth noting. The fact that you get all riled up just because I borrowed your ill conceived comment re: Huskins from last year is what's "sad" and "pathetic."

That you take it as a "bash" is even sadder.
