Looks like Potsdam's finally getting its Wal-Mart after (at least) 9 years of wrangling...what do you North Country folks think?

I think it's fantastic. Now I don't have to drive 35 miles or more to get to one when I need something.
And, no, I have no pity for the 'small' owners in town who feel bad because I can buy an HDTV at Walmart for 100 bucks less than what they want to sell the same thing to me for.
I just hope they install a turn lane off route 11 into it and also maybe a light so people who are leaving the store can get out easier.

I'm not a NC folk, but I could care less for Wal-Mart. One of the things I loved about Potsdam was the friendly local run businesses. The same businesses that care about their employees and their patrons. These megastores are ruining towns all over America.

Where are they putting the Wal-Mart? Is it a SuperCenter that sells groceries also?

It's going to be on Route 11 just west of Potsdam, close to the Clarkson campus. As far as I know, it's a SuperCenter.
