Well Chuck, maybe you wish you had gone to the b-ball game. I'll tell you what though, it was a gutsy come back in the third by the Knights. Gotta admit that I was real happy my Saints held on though :D .

We lost to SLU(t) eh? Disgusting. So much for the end of the year streak. Too many injuries? What's going on up there?

no injuries except mcfeeters. Kotyra was absolutely horrible. He called a dive on Latulippe late in the game that would have given us a powerplay since he had already called the trip on SLU. Can't blame it all on him though. Tech just didn't show up for the second period. We dominated the other two. I dont know what the problem is with putting a whole game together these days, but things dont look good.....One positive though, Randy Jones has really developed into an awesome offensive defenseman, maybe Huskins caliber.

I am curious if you were at the game. Morris in the USCHO game recap said he though we won the first and third periods and so do you. Sure we were ahead after the first 1-0, but in listening on the net to Bob and Josh it sure did not sound like we dominated? And the 17-7 shots against sure don't point in that direction. Just wondering why you felt we dominated the first period?

Yes, I was at the game...As far as the shot in the first go, I and others were surprised when we heard the number 17, it didn't seem that high. Walsh didn't exactly have to stand on his head. It was really more towards the second half of the first period though before we started to play better. Also, despite only having seven shots, they were quality. Line had a point blank shot from inside the circles barely miss the net, and their goalie had a spectacular save on a rebound attempt diving to his right. It should have been 3-0 after the first.

To start it off, I have been reading all the posts for this whole season but decided not to post until now....

To be honest with you guys...I think it wasn't really tech not showing up for the game...I think the issue has to do with the line switches...if you recall at the beginning of the season, tech was playing well (not necessarily in points, because that isn't the only indicator, one must take into account, who they were playing)...now though, Morris has changed lines and put lines together that just don't match....
I was at the game at SLU, and was disappointed as well as everyone else but I have to look at the fact that the boys don't seem to know their partners or the style of the people on their line in order to realize that you can't just throw people together and expect them to just blend easily...
Add that to the terrible ref calls in the 2nd and 3rd and the diving call called in the 3rd, will lead you to the end results. Give the knights credit for coming back to a 6-5 loss, because it is definitly tough to get going in your RIVALS rink and down by4 goals....that is hard, even in the best of the situations.

When you are not scoring goals, how long do you give guys to get used to playing with each other. With the exception of very few games, the offense has been horrendous. I think very little of it has to do with line combinations. Playing well is not enough, if you don't have a couple of lines putting the puck in the net, you have to switch it up a little and look for that majic combo. With injuries also, it has been very hard to keep effective lines together.
