True. Its more like an earth shiver.

There was a minor earthquake my sophmore year (fall 1983) that woke me up one morning in my room in Congdon. Its a very strange feeling waking up to the bed shaking and you're the only one in it!

I woke up just before a minor one came when we lived in CT (maybe I'm a dog.....) - Sounded like rolling thunder coming in - no big deal, but I can't imagine what the big ones are like and don't ever want to know.

I remember that earthquake in Fall 83 Todd. I was actually on a campout with the cub scouts at the time. I remember thinking "who was playing the drums" at that hour because of the sound it made in the middle of the woods was almost like a drumroll. I didn't even feel any shaking.
