With all the rain we had in the NE, I was wondering if everyone is AOK. Stemmer, in particular, as some areas of Wayne, NJ are still underwater.
As for me, home is OK, Mom's house has some water table seepage in the basement.

My house is at elevation 1800'. Started out as 6" of snow then turned to rain. Had some water in my basement, but nothing too bad, and my septic system held up ok which is the most important thing for me. I drove by the Connecticut River (in Northampton, MA) and it was WAY over it's banks. I saw one house with water 1/2 up to the first floor windows.

I know it's a bit late to reply to this but that storm had to have one of the worst impacts in the Hudson Valley ever. Some isolated areas recorded double digit rainfall totals, while most of the Valley recorded 7-9 inches.
As a firefighter and paramedic, I was involved in several flood pumpouts and rescues. There were at least two entire villages in my area completely underwater due to public drainage systems not being able to handle the load. Major thouroughfares were closed for days (for those who know the area, try moving around in Southern Dutchess County with Rts. 9, 9D and the Parkway all closed.)
Fortunately, except for a 72 hour period of no sleep, my parents and I came through the event relatively unscathed. My garage floor got wet, but not even enough moisture to mop up and my parents had some septic issues for two days or so.
