Wow, I just got home from a wake and no updates. Well, maybe I can start something ;) ... Bob and Barts tell me it's 1-0 Clarkson in the early 2nd.

Sloppy play by both teams, good goaltending by Leggio and Dekanich, post by Cayer, one strong fleury by Gate.

It may be me, but I haven't seen the Knights win one power play since I put the game on.

Strong penalty kill by Knights after the start of the 3rd was delayed for the ice to refreeze in Potsdam in January (go figure). 4 minutes gone in 3rd, still 1-0.

11:37 left, Raiders have upper hand in controlling play, but still lots of back-and-forth.

12:04 gone by, Knights got a power play on a stupid play by Raiders in their offensive zone. Raiders hold strong on penalty kill, despite a couple of good chances.

Colgate goal with 5:14 left. Colgate comes strong to the net and gets one back. Williams from Gelanders (?sp) and Riley.

End of regulation, free hockey for the fans at Cheel (although I'm sure they would've rather not seen it).

22 seconds left in OT, 2 strong chances for Knights, 1 for Raiders ... no goals, timeout Raiders.

Interesting note, I saw a couple of things that could have been called penalties, but the refs have stuffed their whistles and let them play (unheard of for ECAC hockey).

Game ends in tie 1-1. One point is better than none, we really missed Dodge in the OT on faceoffs.

It sounds like the little red are feeling the pain over at the (t).

FireKnight,

Thanks for your reviews of the game. Bob and Josh always know so much more about what is going on at Cheel than the fans who are actually there know. We realized there was a delay at the beginning of Period 3, but the audience was never told why. Potsdam has no snow anywhere, and the temperatures have been relatively warm for January. It was 42 degrees when we parked our car in the Cheel parking area about 4 PM.

A big disappointment to only earn one point last knight, but Colgate was very good, especially their giant goaltender, Mark Dekanich, who stopped all but one shot.

The Golden Knights will have to take out their frustrations against little red toknight.:)

Did you know that Big Red is dog food? (That is the name of the Agway brand of dog chow.:)
