Listening to the pre-game show, the only disadvantage that Clarkson encountered last knight was not being able to score on the power play.

Yale seems to be catching the eye of ECAC teams. Last week, they defeated UNH and then last knight, they defeated Colgate.

George Roll said that even though the Golden Knights were down at one point in the game, we felt comfortable the way we were playing. Coach Roll also commented about the play of David Leggio, who has been very consistent in the nets this year making great saves. David will start the game toknight.

DEMOLISH DARTMOUTH, LET'S GO TECHERS....ON TO VICTORY TOKNIGHT.

The game is underway. There is a very good crowd at Thompson Arena; I think they seat over 4,000.

Chris D'Alvise is playing on a line with Shea Guthrie and Max Kolu. Shea was just called for an interference penalty....probably not a justified call. Where are those murphy brothers anyway?

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 08:08 PM
David Leggio is busy, and now Dartmouth will have a two-man advantage as Max Kolu goes to the penalty box....for 52 seconds.

Goldie Knight

David Leggio made a brilliant save just in the knick of time. Shea's penalty must be over now.

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 08:13 PM
Mike Sullivan steals the puck, but Dartmouth got the puck back.

Nick Dodge flips the puck down the ice....only nine seconds remain in the little green power play.

GRANT CLITSOME DROVE THE PUCK FROM THE BLUE LINE OVER THE SHOULDER OF THE DARTMOUTH GOALTENDER INTO THE NET. GOOD FOR YOU, GRANT, A SHORT-HANDED GOAL FOR YOU.

CLARKSON 1 little green...nothing

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 08:15 PM
Tim Marks is called for hooking or holding and away he goes to the sin bin.

SHEA GUTHRIE SCORES ON A BREAKAWAY...ASSISTS TO TYRELL MASON AND ADAM BELLOWS

CLARKSON 2.....the little green....still ZERO

The Knights seem to score more when they are shorthanded than any other time. If they can just score on the PP, then we'll be unstoppable!

Goldie Knight

Penalty against dartmouth for hitting Max Kolu from behind. It seems as if those little green men are annoyed.:)

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 08:22 PM
Dartmouth receives a second penalty. So the Golden Guys have a two-man advantage.

STEVE ZALEWSKI SCORES CLARKSON'S THIRD GOAL. ASSISTS TO SHEA GUTHRIE AND MATT BECA WOW!

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 08:26 PM
Jeremiah Crowe had a great shot on goal.

POUR ON THE PRESSURE, CLARKSON GOLDEN KNIGHTS.

SCORE IS

CLARKSON.....three goals......little green...still hoping to get a goal

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 08:29 PM
Clarkson penalty to Adam Bellows for hooking.
Dartmouth has a one-man advantage now.

Nick Dodge drives the puck down the ice. The next dartmouth shot goes off the shoulder of David Leggio....but not into the net.

Goldie Knight

Dartmouth power play ends with no success for them.:)

Clarkson penalty....too many men on the ice during a line change....served by Matt Beca.

This is Dartmouth's fifth power play toknight.

3:50 remains in the first period.

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 08:34 PM
Phil Paquette has a broken stick, and Tyrell Mason drives the puck down the ice.

Dartmouth fails to score on this power play, but now Matt Beca is in the penalty box for roughing.....oh dear, that's too bad.

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 08:39 PM
Steve Zalewski drives the puck down the ice.

One minute to play in the first period, and dartmouth can't score!:)

Clarkson has had 12 minutes in penalties.....that's awful.

Period 1 is over and the score is

CLARKSON.....3 .....darthmouth still no goals:D

Brett Gobe
11-04-2006, 08:40 PM
Too many penalties.

But other than that, I'll take that for a start.

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 08:45 PM
Brett,

Where on earth did you find that Harvard sign, which is on your website? Was it taken in Cambridge? It still brings a smile to my face each time I view it. Perhaps after toknight, Harvard fans might agree with that sign.:)

Brett,

Where on earth did you find that Harvard sign, which is on your website? Was it taken in Cambridge? It still brings a smile to my face each time I view it. Perhaps after toknight, Harvard fans might agree with that sign.:)

Haha, I've seen it before on the Cornell board. They love that sign.

Period 2 has now begun.

Clarkson is on a power play, but the Golden Guys failed to score.

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 09:02 PM
Grant Clitsome skates away to the penalty box, for holding.

Penalty # 7 against the Golden Knights.

The puck was tipped in front by la ittle green player, and they finally score at 5:27 of the second period.

What a shame to ruin David's shutout.

CLARKSON 3....little green...one

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 09:07 PM
CLARKSON'S MATT BECA SCORES GOAL #4 ON A POWER PLAY.:)

ASSISTS FROM STEVE ZALEWSKI AND SHEA GUTHRIE.

CLARKSON...4 little green....only one.

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 09:12 PM
Dartmouth goes back on the power play....Shea Guthrie is in the penalty box.

WHEW...the light went on for Dartmouth, but the puck never made it into the net. No goal for you, little green.

Shawn Weller, for high sticking, goes the penalty box. Poor Coach Roll...he is just shaking his head.

Dartmouth has a 27 second two-man advantage, and they have called a time out. The only way to answer that strategy is for Clarkson to score another short-handed goal.

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 09:16 PM
Dartmouth five on four power play now. David Leggio makes another save.
This is Clarkson's ninth penalty, I think. David continues to make great saves, one right after another. Power play is over.

Oh no, Shawn Weller is called for an interference penalty in front of the Dartmouth net. Penalty #10 against the Golden Knights. Seven minutes left in Period 2.

Why not score again Clarkson Golden Knights?:)

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 09:18 PM
Dartmouth shot the puck and it landed on top of the net. Tyrell Mason drove it down the ice.

NO, another shot from the blue line, tipped in front, and dartmouth scores....darn it all.

NO MORE PENALTIES PLEASE, CLARKSON GOLDEN KNIGHTS.

SCORE...CLARKSON 4 dartmouth...2

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 09:21 PM
Oh my goodness, Clarkson is called for another penalty on Dan Tuttle, but now a penalty is called against dartmouth.....finally.

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 09:24 PM
LET'S GO TECHERS....SCORE AND SCORE SOME MORE.

Dartmouth is now outshooting Clarkson by a few shots.

Jeremiah Crowe is now called on a Clarkson penalty with 2:42 left in Period 2.
It is so discouraging to have so many penalties called against us, and so few against dartmouth.

We now have accumulated 12 penalties.....outrageous:mad:

nickg4
11-04-2006, 09:28 PM
Well either the refs are out to get us, or the Knights are exhibiting a terrible display of discipline.

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 09:29 PM
Nick Dodge took a shot on goal.

AND Period 2 ends with a two-goal CLARKSON LEAD....4 to 2 is the score.

Such great news....at the end of Period 2, Dartmouth is called for a penalty,
so the Golden Knights will begin Period 3 with a power play....what a pleasant change that is.:)

nickg4
11-04-2006, 09:33 PM
Well it is safe to say that special teams are key;between the shorties and the penalty kill the Knights are getting it done. It would be nice if they can stay out of the box because eventually it will catch up to them and hurt em.

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 09:44 PM
OKAY, Golden Knights, you want to win this game, and your fans want you to win this game, so the only alternative you have is to

PLEASE STAY OUT OF THE PENALTY BOX DURING THE THIRD PERIOD.

Oh, by the way, it would be great if you could score a couple more insurance goals too.

DEFEAT LITTLE GREEN

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 09:46 PM
CHRIS D'ALVISE........SCORES UNASSISTED. THANK YOU, CHRIS. Anyone else care to score for Clarkson?

Score.....CLARKSON 5......little green only 2

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 09:49 PM
David Leggio made another great save on Ryan Bellows.

THANK YOU, STEVE ZALEWSKI, FOR SCORING CLARKSON'S SIXTH GOAL.....ASSISTS FROM MATT BECA AND SHAWN WELLER.

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE IT, CLARKSON FANS?

SCORE.....THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS HAVE SIX GOALS AND little green has two.:)

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 09:59 PM
12:52 remains in Period 3.

32 shots for dartmouth.....20 for Clarkson....thanks to dartmouth's power plays.

Clarkson penalty to Tyrell Mason....David Leggio continues to be strong in the Clarkson goal.

With 10:46 left, Max Kolu skates to the penalty box. I can't remember if this is penalty #13 or #14.

Tyrell Mason was hit from behind, so dartmouth is punished....good.

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 10:04 PM
Mike Sullivan steals the puck, and the pathetic excuse of a referee just called a penalty on Chris D'Alvise.

If dartmouth scores, then the credit must go to the officials....what goons.

Well, dartmouth did just score....David Leggio was screened and had no chance. Thank you, officials for your assistance.

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 10:07 PM
5:57 remains in Period 3.

CLARKSON....6.....dartmouth....3

Two penalties called, one against each team....Phil Paquette goes to the penalty box for elbowing.

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 10:10 PM
3 minutes left to play in the game.

YES, WE WOULD LOVE A FOUR-POINT WEEKEND, ESPECIALLY ONE EARNED ON THE ROAD.

Goldie Knight
11-04-2006, 10:17 PM
The crowd in Hanover is relatively quiet. They are not even excited by the 15th Clarkson penalty called against Matt Curley.

THE GAME IS OVER.

CLARKSON......6......little green....3

OUR KNIGHTS ARE AWESOME AND THEN SOME.
