Earl_Leatherland
01-11-2002, 07:57 PM
The commerical sounds much more classy now. Great.

Blight and Lush connecting for a shot.

Now back in Clarkson zone. RPI is better team opening up period number 2. Faceoff in Clarkson zone. RPI is swarming on the puck with 2 men going after it in the zone.

Earl_Leatherland
01-11-2002, 07:58 PM

Ferrarri 2 minutes for hitting from behind.

RPI is dangerous on the penalty kill. RPI makes a forward thrust being a man down.

Clarkson has it in the zone. Lots of passing. Sounds mundane. O'F takes a shot and then another shot. RPI clears the zone.

Walsh out of the goal and passes forward. Manzano gives it away in the zone. Regain control.

Clarkson charges down and takes a shot.

RPI scores.

Murley (RIP's best penalty killer) pulls an interference penalty. Bartell is questioning the integrity of Murley & Munn on taking stupid penalties...

scottcomstock
01-11-2002, 08:49 PM
CLARKSON SCORES ON THE PP!

3-1 CLARKSON

Murley and Munn "not setting a good example" with their penalties (and subsequent Clarkson scores), according to Bartell...

scottcomstock
01-11-2002, 08:52 PM
Walsh makes a flurry of saves, man in the crease but no call, then Manzano gets a penalty?!

RIP goes on the PP

scottcomstock

scottcomstock

Matching minors for "tussling at the face off". 4-1 Clarkson.

scottcomstock
01-11-2002, 09:11 PM
Teams at even strength. Reid injured? 3:23 left in the game, score still 4-1

scottcomstock
01-11-2002, 09:18 PM
Big scrum in front of the net...RIP's Murley & Clarkson's Jones & Bahen have been ejected. Less than a minute left in the 3rd; Clarkson still up 4-1. Bartell is seriously questioning RIP's integrity with all the stupid penalties...

scottcomstock

Stemmer

Arent we just as stupid to get into a fight at the end of a game we have won!!!

Pete
01-11-2002, 10:14 PM
I would normally agree with you Rich, but Murley had beeen asking for it all night. RIP is very possibly the least disciplined team in the league from the coach on down. Fridgen refused to shake Morris's hand after the game also. Walked right by Morris's outstretched hand to Dexter. Morris and Fridgen then had a few words for each other. RIP resorted to their usual cheap play late in the game when they realized it was over. Even during the game they were taking stupid penalties, whining about every call, etc.

Stemmer
01-11-2002, 10:27 PM
Pete,

Fridgen feeling frustrated and not shaking Mark's hand does not surprise me. The guy is a jerk...thats old news!

We should have learned from the Princeton game which I attended. Getting a DQ doesn't help...especially if you are tossed for the next game! It has to stop!!!

As Gordie Howe used to say..."don't get mad...get even!" Th enxt RIP game is a few weeks away...thats the time to drill a guy with a clean hard check!

:D

If the next subject or three in the room isn't DISCIPLINE, DISCIPLINE, DISCIPLINE, then we're going to be in trouble going forward to greatness for the rest of the season. This time of year is NOT the time for undisciplined penalties, much less next gamers for fighting.... can't afford them no matter how low class the opponents are -- and RIP showed some low/no class toknight. Oh well, guess it could be worse -- we could be going up against Cornell tomorrow.........

Pete
01-12-2002, 07:12 AM
You are right Rich, I guess I should learn discipline as much as the team. When I was posting, I was still pretty ****ed at the type of game RIP played. In one word DIRTY. Even more so than ususal. They actually made us look kind of disciplined.

The game was over, betterjust to suck it up and stick it to them next time. The team seems to be taking on, as Josh Bartell said in the post game show I listened to on the way home, Fridgen's personality. I wonder what PuckAv thinks of Fridgen, he didn't shake Morris's hand so it is probably his hero.
