Gary Mikel talked with Associate Coach Greg Drechsel following the game. In reference to taking only one point there in Amherst, Greg said "We are happy, but we are not happy. We are a better hockey team than we showed tonight. We felt we should have won the game, but we didn't do a good job in protecting the puck...we were not tight in the neutral zone. Credit U-Mass for playing well. David Leggio was solid in goal. If David continues to play that way, then we will have a chance in every game. Regarding Michael Grenzy's shoulder injury, Greg said the doctors in Potsdam will examine Mike. The other Golden Knights will just have to pick up the pace."

A tie is better than a loss, from my perspective. But Clarkson fans wanted a win and two points. After losing so many games on the road last season, it is a blessing to return to Potsdam with no losses.
