Clarkson Hockey Pick-to-Click

Hey everyone, I've done this for two years on another site and am looking to expand. Pretty simple game, hopefully I can get some interest here.

Here's how the game is played:

You pick two players per weekend out of the entire Golden Knights roster. Points are awarded on a scoring scale set up by me based on the importance of the games that weekend. Conference games are worth more than non conference games, playoff games are worth more than conference games, etc. Points will then be tallied throughout the season.

Here's the catch. To keep people from picking the same players every week, once you choose a player you can not use them the next week in the contest. This will also provide the first tie breaker in the contest. If two or more people are tied at the end, the person who used the most players throughout the year will break the tie.

Weekly winners will be showered with praise and the overall winner will recieve a case of the beer of his or her choice.

Are you talking about the phrase or the rules? Essentially you are "picking" two guys you think will "click" on the weekend. Like when we say, " The Weller, Zalewski, Beca line is really clicking" i.e. scoring goals, working well together.

I think that something that further emphasizes the above point is that many of the Pick To Click contests on USCHO will disallow the selection of the leading scorers for each team. Because of this, what you end up doing is trying to find the guys on each team who aren't at the top of the scoring sheet but you think will have a big weekend (i.e. they start clicking).

I modeled pick-to-click after the threads on USCHO, but decided to keep the top scorers in play because we are only picking clarkson players. I added the players can not be used in consecutive weeks rule to help balance the picks.
