It seems to me that it's been quite a while since the Hobey Baker winner was from a team that didn't make it to the Tournament. Whose gonna research that and tell us.

I don't know, sounds like a job only MikeR or Brett can tackle ;) . I did take a little look see into how many times a Knight was a contender for the Hobey since it's inception in 1981.......the number was 7. Any current Knights capable of getting a whiff? Depending on how guys develop, I could see Dodge and/or Guthrie getting one.

Chuck, no research here, but Carle was the mainstay on defense for the Pioneers as they won the previous 2 national champs, so I think it's well deserved, if a bit late. My grandnephew worked for them last year, so I got to see several Denver games, and Carle was/is really impressive.

More evidence that Carle's the real deal - he scored the GWG toknight against the Canucks to knock them out of the playoffs - 3 behind Edmonton with 1 game to go!!!!:D
