That's resigned, not re-signed.

Wow, the Alumni were calling for his head, weren't they? Might effect some of RPI's Recruits, coaching change gets them out of a letter of intent, doesn't it?

Might be an opportunity for Tech to pick up a guy :D

Congrats to the RPI fans!

With all the concerns around recent RPI recruiting...I hope Tech doesn't cherry pick;) :)

The Fridgen resignation adds to the influx of new coaches (<4 years) to the ECAC. (Princeton, Harvard, Clarkson, Union). Combined with a new team (QPac), league success would seem to place more of an emphasis on recruiting, and coaching adaptability rather than familiarity with an opponent or understanding the opposing coach's style. Maybe those more knowledgeable than I could elaborate.

RPI could do a lot worse than hire Frank Bretti.

In case anyone hasn't heard, the unofficial word is that Denver Assistant Coach Seth Appert has been chosen to replace Dan Fridgen. There will be a press conference on Friday. Andy Murray was apparently offered the job first but turned it down, I suspect due to financial considerations.
