Well, I just returned from dinner and those little crummy crimsons scored a goal within the first minute of the game.

What an awful way to begin the knight.

LET'S GO TECHERS!

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 07:17 PM
I think Matt Curley and Jamie McKinven are playing toknight...one of them in place of Grant Clitsome.

Now Steve Zalewski gets a penalty for a hit after the whistle at 3:24 of the first period.

Clarkson has had four icings called against them already, and George is talking with referee scott hansen.

Well, our little grandson just had his knightly bath and has gone to bed for the evening. So, I just caught the score...it is

CLARKSON 0 the crimson 1 on a goal scored at 38 seconds of Period 1.

That's not bad considering the fact that the crimson started so quickly.

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 07:56 PM
WOW...it looks like a potential upset in the making at the lower end of the league...

Brown leads the Q's 3 ~ 0
Yale and Princeton are tied at 1 each
For some reason, the Dartmouth ~ SLU game is starting about 8:15 in Hanover....did anyone hear the reason why?
no goals yet for Union, Cornell, RPI or Colgate

HARASS AND OUTCLASS HARVARD...LET'S GO TECHERS.

Hello all, missed the 1st period due to parenting.;)

coolhandtouc
02-25-2006, 08:00 PM
Oh no....Zalewski starts off the 2nd with a holding penalty, knights on the Kill!
Zalewski gets a misconduct for speaking his mind.

Harvard takes a hit from behind penalty all even now.

Todd '86
02-25-2006, 08:00 PM
Harvard PP - Zalewski off for holding, and tacked on a 10 minute misconduct. Here we go again.

At least H follows up with a penalty of their own

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 08:03 PM
Steve Zalewski received a two-minute penalty and a ten-minute misconduct. Bob thought Steve may have said something to one of those dumb officials....that word dumb is my word, not Bob's.

Harvard also received a two-minute penalty a bit later.

Todd '86
02-25-2006, 08:05 PM
Now McKinven off for a x-check.

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 08:06 PM
Hi Mr. Cool,

We should make bedtime a bit earlier for the little ones on game knights, don't you think?

Glad to have you with us.

Kevin Du...on a crimson breakaway...missed...yeah!

coolhandtouc
02-25-2006, 08:06 PM
Charlie Johnson and harvard putting on pressure, Leggio big save!

McKinven penalty, knights on the kill again!

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 08:10 PM
13:10 remain in the second period.

The Golden Knights have killed off three crimson power plays....let's hope they kill off any others too.

Matt Curley called for boarding.....oh dear.

Todd '86
02-25-2006, 08:10 PM
We need to generate some offense!!!

Nope, Curley off for boarding now.

Todd '86
02-25-2006, 08:13 PM
HALFTIME!!!

coolhandtouc
02-25-2006, 08:15 PM
we are getting outshot 21-8......that's a problem.

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 08:16 PM
Harvard has 25 points and is tied with SLU for 4th and 5th places. Only the top four teams receive a first-round bye.

I bet SLU fans would love to their Saints play at Appleton next weekend.:D

coolhandtouc
02-25-2006, 08:17 PM
Sullivan and cayer on a 2-1 ....nothing doing.

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 08:21 PM
If the Golden Knights have only had eight shots in 30 minutes, I'd say we are in need of numerous goals.....remarkably sad statistic.

Clarkson goes on the power play.

Oh my goodness, no shots on this power play either...it ends.

coolhandtouc
02-25-2006, 08:22 PM
Knights on the pp we had no shots on goal....it ends.

Bellows with a big shot, blocked.

The weller line putting on some good pressure, break in the action.
5 min to go in the 2nd

Todd '86
02-25-2006, 08:25 PM
Paquet off for x-checking, less than 3 min left in 2nd period.

That tremor you may be feeling is my head repeatedly pounding on the table.

AARRGGHH!!

coolhandtouc
02-25-2006, 08:25 PM
Paquet gets called for a cross check and a hold.... 4 minute penalty on the knights.. BIG KILL COMING UP!!

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 08:26 PM
Philippe Paquet is going to the penalty box...with a double minor...holding and cross checking.....not too smart a move because it puts too much pressure on the rest of the Golden Knights. Plus, we do not have many goals that are scored short handedly.

Two minutes left in the period.

BE TOUGH, CLARKSON GOLDEN KNIGHTS.

the crimson just scored, darn it.

score....CLARKSON 0 the crimson 2

coolhandtouc
02-25-2006, 08:27 PM

Harvard takes a penalty with 1 second left. Third period starts even strength.

Time to put my kids to bed. CU in the third.

coolhandtouc
02-25-2006, 08:31 PM
Roughing penalty on harvard 19:59 of the 2nd period.......we start the 3rd on a PP.

Gary and Bob say NO OFFENSE WHATSOEVER FOR THE KNIGHTS!

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 08:31 PM
Bob just mentioned that Chris Breckelmans has not played for a while; he has a back problem. Bob praised Chris's hard work all year.

Harvard gets a roughing penalty with one little second left in period 2.

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 08:33 PM
ECAC scores please.

andy
02-25-2006, 08:36 PM
as of right now, clarkson would play princeton, if all these scores hold up:

brown 4, quinn 1; Cornell 1, Union 1; princeton 3, yale 1; slu/dartmouth no score; colgate 1, RPI 1

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 08:46 PM
Thanks, Andy.

My choice would be for the Golden Knights to play the Brownies at Cheel next weekend. I'm sorry my choice is irrelevant.:(

Period 3 is underway...is there still hope?

coolhandtouc
02-25-2006, 08:49 PM
Thanks, Andy.

Period 3 is underway...is there still hope?

Hope? Yes need to get one quick, though.

Here is our break, Harvard penalty!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 08:50 PM
Did Bob say Chris Breckelmans was on the ice? I hope so....he is such a leader for this team.

Clarkson has exhibited some good pressure, but no shots on goal.

Shots on goal are 28 to 10....guess which team has10.

the crimson commits a penalty.

IT'S KNIGHT TIME, RIGHT NOW, CLARKSON....LET'S SCORE.:)

coolhandtouc
02-25-2006, 08:52 PM
ZALEWSKI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PP GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From Cayer!!!!!!!!!!!

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 08:52 PM
Clarkson power play...

STEVE ZALEWSKI SCORES HIS 8TH GOAL OF THE SEASON.....

WAY TO GO STEVE...on a pass from David Cayer from behind the goal.

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 08:54 PM
I think Bob said earlier that Clarkson had been shut out for five consecutive periods at the Bright Center.

Thank you, Steve, for ending that crimson streak.:)

coolhandtouc
02-25-2006, 08:55 PM
We are out shooting them 7-1 this period!

LGT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 08:56 PM
The momentum has changed.....watch out harvard.....it's knight time.:)

coolhandtouc
02-25-2006, 08:58 PM
Cayer misses on a breakaway....damn. Lots of hitting after the whistle. Lets see how it plays out.

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 08:59 PM
Harvard has had some shots on David Leggio.

David Cayer went in alone...too bad because a two-on-one would have provided Clarkson a better opportunity. BTW, David did not score.

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 09:02 PM
The Golden Knights continue to put on pressure, and David Leggio continues to prohibit the crimson from scoring.

Michael Grenzy deflects another Kevin Du shot.

Todd '86
02-25-2006, 09:03 PM
cornell @ Union is on TWC26 (Syracuse) -- tied 1-1 early 3rd

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 09:05 PM
Chris Breckelmans has not played since the first period.....back pain. We are so sorry, Chris....your presence on the ice is dearly missed.

7:45 remain in the third period.

HARASS AND OUTCLASS HARVARD....LET'S SCORE CLARKSON.:)

Todd '86
02-25-2006, 09:09 PM
cornell scores just after pp expired. 2-1 over Union.

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 09:11 PM
The crimson continue their barrage of shots against David Leggio.

I would like to have Phil Paquet score a goal toknight.

3:59 remain in the third period.

Goldie Knight

Thanks for that updated score on Cornell and Union, Todd.

1:19 remain in the third period.

Clarkson requests a time out.

Yes, Chuck, I agree with your statement.

coolhandtouc
02-25-2006, 09:17 PM
I agree Goldie, he owes us.;)

Icing on harvard...timeout Knights.....we will probably pull the goalie. 1:19 to go in the game......still down by one.

joecct
02-25-2006, 09:17 PM
has no bearing on the ECAC, but
Mankato St 5 Wisconsin 2

Edit: We need a goal NOW!

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 09:19 PM
Under one minute to go in the third period.

Nick Dodge took a shot, but the crimson goaltender coverd it up.

18 seconds to go.

Tough loss tonight!!

chuck
02-25-2006, 09:21 PM
I have never seen a team with such a home/away disparity.

The silver lining... SLU doesn't get a bye.

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 09:21 PM
The game is over.

the crimson 2.....CLARKSON 1

Another loss on the road. Next year, let's play ALL of our games at Cheel Arena.

Chuck, what happens if SLU beats Dartmouth toknight, and thus both Harvard and SLU have 27 points each?

chuck

Todd '86

Yep, that's all she wrote. One plus is that Leggio stopped 37 of 39, giving him a .949 SV% tonight Too bad we couldn't come close to matching the Crimson's shots.

Welcome to 8th place.

andy
02-25-2006, 09:24 PM
brown beat quinnipiac, which should mean princeton comes to cheel next weekend

Goldie Knight
02-25-2006, 09:37 PM
Bob and Gary chose David Leggio as the Golden Knight of the Knight. David seems to be playing excellent hockey now.

George Roll said the goal this week is to get everyone healthy for next weekend. In addition to his back problems, Captain Chris Breckelmans had a knee injury.

Well, folks, we ended the regular season in 8th place, which is better than where we have been the past two years.

AND TO ALL A GOOD KNIGHT.:)
