Cornell is in the past, now we go one game at a time, on to the future.....Toothpaste.

Very good team, the game we lost I feel we outplayed them, they won on a fluke goal. When we forecheck, we win....that requires effort! I actually see us as the favorites....bring it on.

LGT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, let's see now if we can "mess up" the predictions of the ECAC correspondent, Timothy Muir McDonald, once again toknight. His choice for this past Friday was as follows:

cornell 3.......CLARKSON......1

My prediction for last knight's game was: (written before leaving home for the game)

CLARKSON 3.........cornell.....2

TMM chose the wrong winner.....great news for the Golden Knights.

So after reading that SLU held Colgate to one, that's right, just one shot on goal in the third period, this points to an opportunistic chance for Clarkson's defense to do the same thing to Colgate toknight.....perhaps severely restricting Colgate's shots on goal in all three periods. Colgate has lost its last three games....two to cornell and one to SLU.........GO KNIGHTS....

TMM predicted the following:

colgate 2........CLARKSON 1

Goldie's prediction is:

CLARKSON 3.......colgate 2

Playing at Cheel Arena with tons of confidence now, the Golden Knights NEED this four-point weekend.

TRAUMATIZE THE TOOTHPASTE.:)

Well it gives us a 3 point weekend but I consider this one the same as a loss :( . Just did not get the job done and really needed 2 points toknight.

THE GOOD

Goal by Weller from Dodge and Cayer
Excellent Penalty kill
Good play in the nets by Leggio

THE NOT SO GOOD

Gave up a 3rd period lead
Could not take advantage of the power plays we had in the 2nd period.

Brown and Yale next weekend. Everyone else is beating these two. We darn sure had better do the same.

Maybe so, but it's way better than 0 points the previous two weekends against the bottom of the league, no??? You are right in that next weekend is a 4 point must.

Anyone know how the 3rd jersey auction went? Any indication of the approximate price? I was wondering if I would have been in the running.

Mr. Cool,

The auction will be held next Saturday knight after the Brown game. Last knight the team wore those black shirts--they are sharp. I believe Max Kolu may have played a part in designing those jerseys.

Brett,

After the devastating past few weekends, except of course, our victory over Cornell and our tie over Colgate this weekend, I think the Golden Knights goal will be to attain a spot among the top eight teams, in order to have home-ice advantage for the first-round of the playoffs.

Captain Chris made the following comment, "I think we are happy, but we are not content." That seems to sum up the overall feeling Clarkson fans had after the tie with Colgate last knight. Chris was referring to the three-point weekend. The effort exerted by the Golden Knights was excellent.

Chuck...it was indeed a pleasure to see you and your little one at Cheel Friday knight. Your whole family must have brought the Golden Knights good luck. I hope you had a safe trip back to Massachusetts.

More later....off to go shopping now in bright and sunny Potsdam.:)

Re: the jersey auction, I hear a few cornell folks may bid on them. You know they just "love" those jerseys. :D

The snow has ended here in Merryland. 14 inches measured in my driveway. Spent 3 hours shoveling this morning. I have a very sore back  and definitely pulled a muscle in my lower back. Am recovering watching the USA women beating Germany 2-0 after 1. :) .

As for Captain Chris made the following comment, "I think we are happy, but we are not content." : You guys had better not be content. Only 4 points will do this coming weekend.

It is too bad that there is not a venu for others to make bids. I know I would be if I had a way to do it.

You can have someone bid on a jersey for you and pay them back if you know anyone willing to do it. If I had the resources to do it for you, I'd offer, but I can't even afford one for myself :(

And when I say that, they'd bid in their own name, but you'd pay them back. It would be an agency relationship with an undisclosed principal. (Thanks, Law and Society 2)

Perhaps we can work something out. If you are interested, PM your email and tel. number......perhaps I could make it worth your while.

I'm headed up to the North Country next weekend and would be more than willing to put a bid in for you. I think I would have more capital at hand to do your bidding than daredevil.

Can anyone tell me how a silent auction works? Is there a sheet where you put down a name and bid and if someone beats your bid can you see that and put in another bid?. My husband and I have never been involved in one of these and we are interested on trying for one of the jersey's.

That is how they have been run in the past.
