From your lips to God's ears.....anything but last nights effort.

Roll:
Worst effort as a team Roll has been a part of, including assistant years.
Work ethic was unacceptable.
We CAN be a good team, but if you dont work and execute, you will get beat. We didn't deserve to be in the game. Self-motivation needs to show up, play for the team and play for the sweater.
Line Changes:
Isbister, Bellows, Weller are out.
Rutherglen, Arciero, McKinven are in.
McNulty in net.
Brett Gobe
02-04-2006, 07:02 PM
Sullivan Dodge Cayer
Genovy D'Alvise Rutherglen
Marshall Zalewski Guthrie
Willemsen Kolu Arciero
Brekelmans McKinven
Grenzy Mason
Clitsome Paquet
McNulty
Kira Hurley stopped 40 shots against Princeton, 41 snuck by in OT to give Princeton a 1-0 game. Tough loss.
Lets see how the guys do this evening.
Brett Gobe
02-04-2006, 07:10 PM
Brekelmans slaps a shot pretty much right off the opening faceoff and a Princeton defender blocks it with his groin. Ouch.
Brett Gobe
02-04-2006, 07:12 PM
Eric Leroux in the net for the Tigers tonight.
Zalewski with a shot, and its allready more than last night.
Rutherglen with a chance and its blocked by a defender.
Clarkson with good pressure early on. Much better than last night.

About 15 to go in the first. Knights need to score first for a confidence boost.
Brett Gobe
02-04-2006, 07:18 PM
Quinny is up 1-0 early on SLU.

Hey Brett, Where approx. is Seneca Castle?
Brett Gobe
02-04-2006, 07:25 PM
Paquet off for roughing. Princeton off for hit from behind minor. 4x4 again.
Good to see the 5 minute call for the hit from behind is still being enforced....
Brett Gobe
02-04-2006, 07:27 PM

This just can't be...it can't. Maybe the band and team traded uniforms? (I know the band isn't in uniforms...) And I also know the team isn't in the CCT sweaters!

Does PU really have two markers on just three shots?
Brett Gobe
02-04-2006, 07:41 PM
Dodge misses wide. 4:40 left in the first.
Guthrie in 3 on 1, stopped by Leroux. 2:51 to play in the period.
Guthrie again and Leroux makes another nice stop.
Clarkson headed on the powerplay.
Leroux makes another great glove save. We might be in trouble.
****! hit the post as the buzzer sounds.
Much better effort toknight with not much better result.
Got to stop taking penalties
Got to shut Tigers out from now on.
Go to quit shooting high glove on Leroux -- either save or goal -- no rebounds from there, and it doesn't sound like any goals from up there either.
LGT!!!

Seems like they're putting up the effort. With this kind of effort wins will come. Except if you run into a red hot glove like the P's goallie tonight...

Assuming this thing doesn't turn around - I'm not being too cynical, am I? - this will make one win in Clarkson's last 8. Not surprisingly, the only win came in the only home game during that stretch, the well-played tilt with SLU last weekend. Hard to believe this is the same team.

02-04-2006, 08:40 PM

Princeton scores on a shooters goal. 4-1. Damn it. can we find a goalie?

Damn magnetic pucks keep hitting the pipes.
No joy in the North Country toknight!:(
Goldie Knight
02-04-2006, 09:41 PM
We just got home from some wine-tasting and dinner, so we missed the entire game. From the little I have heard, the Golden Knights played better toknight than last knight.
Steve Zalewski was selected the Golden Knight of the Knight....must be he scored a goal. Steve has always been a hard worker and that must have been the case toknight.
I am so sorry for all the Clarkson Golden Knights and their fans. Losing six out of seven of its last games is very depressing. It will be a long trip back to Potsdam....

Here is a summarization of the after-game interview with Coach Roll and Gary Mikel.....
George commented on yet another loss--I guess it is a recurring thing, but the Princeton goalie won it for them. There is a lot of inconsistency. The Knights played hard toknight. If we do that consistently, then things will will go better for us. The Princeton goalie played well. We are not finding ways to score. Last knight (Friday) was a real poor preparation. Tonight we played extremely hard. It is hard to believe we are in the postiion we are in in the league.
Bob reported Clarkson's ECAC record is now 6 wins, 9 losses, and 1 tie.
Overall, Clarkson has 13 wins, 13 losses, and 2 ties.
