Brett Gobe

Wrap around.

16:56 to play in the first.

This annoucer is bad. All I know is it was a wrap around.

coolhandtouc
11-26-2005, 08:10 PM

Brett Gobe

Clarkson on the powerplay. Let's see some chances here.

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 08:18 PM
Weller stopped by Samuel. First good chance for the Knights.

Penalty now on Clarkson. 4 on 4. That killed us last night.

coolhandtouc
11-26-2005, 08:19 PM
Didn't last long .....Sullivan goes off for slashing......four aside.

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 08:20 PM
Dartmouth with some solid chances on their powerplay. McNulty makes some nice saves.

Clarkson kills the powerplay.

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 08:23 PM
6:10 to play in a quick moving first period. Clarkson has about 1 good chance. DC's netminder has made some easy saves.

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 08:26 PM
Shea Guthrie is the only offense for Clarkson so far. Hard to tell how the team sounds as this guy is about as animated as the newspaper.

daredevilcu
11-26-2005, 08:28 PM
sounds like we're getting some decent chances --- paquet is playing tonight, guess his injury last night wasn't serious

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 08:31 PM

McNulty covers with 48 seconds. Dartmouth outshooting Clarkson 7-6.

chuck
11-26-2005, 08:43 PM
Last night the Harvard announcers went on and on about how fast Clarkson is. This guy says they're not very fast. Not like SLUt was last night.

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 08:44 PM
Out of town scores:

All after 1
Cornell 1 - Niagara 1
SLU 1 - Harvard 0
Union 0 - Wayne State 0
Western Michigan 1 - Colgate 0

Last night the Harvard announcers went on and on about how fast Clarkson is. This guy says they're not very fast. Not like SLUt was last night.
Sounds like we are out of gas from last night. Hoepfully we can muck up a goal this period. We are a young team, maybe this is their first real test against two top level, ie Fast, teams.

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 08:47 PM
This guy laughs every time he hears the whistle. :D

Shots 9-7 in favor of DC.

Start of the 2nd.

Is the Hoot Owl or the Tick Tock still there?

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 08:52 PM
Dartmouth taking it to us early. Shots are 4-0 in the first 3 minutes.

Sullivan with a weird shot, that wasnt a shot and the puck sits on the goal line. No goal.

daredevilcu
11-26-2005, 08:53 PM
The Tick Tock is still there. Last year it got in a load of trouble over the Adam Falcon death. Apparently he was drinking there (underage) before he made his way into the Racquette. =\

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 08:53 PM
McNulty makes the original save but the rebound goes in over his leg pad.

2-0 DC

I can't tell if we are flat or this announcer is making us seem flat.
We're flat. Sounds like a lot of long shots and not too many scoring chances. However I think they're starting to come around.

Clitsome rings post. Another close call.

2-0 DC

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 09:02 PM
Great chance for Dartmouth there. Clarkson making bad passes now. Penalty now on DC. Clarkson on its second power play.

Need a goal here. 10:54 to play in the second.

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 09:05 PM
9:25 to play in the second. Genvoy with a chance. DC has had a good chance shorthanded.

Another save for DC netminder Samuel. Powerplay over. 2-0 Dartmouth.

How about a goal here?

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 09:12 PM
Save from McNulty and Clarkson looks to breakout. Which they havent been able to do all night.

Dartmouth is now just controling the pace of play. But Clarkson is headed back on the powerplay.

Wake up Tech!

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 09:15 PM
Powerplay has been awful so far tonight. Penalty killed.

1:08 to play in the second. Shots on that last PP, DC 2 - Clarkson 0.

Been that kind of night.

Earl_Leatherland
11-26-2005, 09:16 PM
LGT!!! LGT!!!

I am not feeling the exhilaration of last knight. 1:08 to go in 2nd period. No shots on goal in PP. shot 20-14 Dartmouth.

coolhandtouc
11-26-2005, 09:16 PM

Classic.

coolhandtouc
11-26-2005, 09:25 PM
We are going to need a goal very early in the 3rd to turn the momentum around, the crowd is not going to do it and the band is not around to do it.

The dork announcer thought BC was in the ecac......I wasn't expecting comedy in between periods.;)

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 09:30 PM
Out of Town Scores:

After 2
Harvard 3 - SLU 1

Somewhere in the second
Cornell 2 - Niagara 1
Colgate 2 - Western Michigan 2
Union 2 - Wayne State 0

Somewhere in the first
SCSU 1 - Brown 0

Brett Gobe

More of the same for the first 4 minutes.

Brett Gobe

3-0 Darmouth on a rebound goal.

Heyotter

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 09:43 PM
Clarkson has 2 shots in the period so far. Not the energetic play we were looking for. 12:19 to play in the 3rd.

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 09:46 PM
4 on 4 for two minutes. Dodge and Lewis go for roughing.

10 to play in the third.

Yes this annoucer is boring. Not that Clarkson has provided much to be excited over.

Dartmouth has blocked alot of shots tonight.

daredevilcu
11-26-2005, 09:46 PM
Matching minors to Dodge and Lewis -- 4x4 hockey for the next couple minutes. Dartmouth controlling play.

DC breakaway, but he Charlie Conway'ed it.

daredevilcu
11-26-2005, 09:48 PM
4x4 hockey over, Clarkson going on the power play. Hitting from behind... major perhaps? Nope, just a minor.

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 09:48 PM
4 on 4 over, and Clarkson heading on the powerplay.

9:32 to go in the 3rrd, need a goal here. Seriously this time.

Earl_Leatherland
11-26-2005, 09:49 PM
My parents are at the game and said "We came back early from Buffalo to watch this." They have commented that the passing this year is very accurate and constant, but it is not happening tonight. Others that were at the game last night and tonight say "If the Clarkson team from last night played the Clarkson team from tonight, the score would be 10-0. It is like they went to lunch over night and never came back."

daredevilcu
11-26-2005, 09:50 PM
Clarkson getting good chances, Guthrie and Weller each getting a shot. DC clears.

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 09:51 PM
Guthrie with a chance. Save Samuel. 8:13 to go in the 3rd. 41 seconds left on the powerplay.

Powerplay over. What the hell happened to last nights team?

daredevilcu
11-26-2005, 09:52 PM
PP over. Couple chances, nothing major missed. Give me 6 inches to use anywhere I want in the game and it's a 3-2 game, judging by some Dartmouth luck earlier.

Heyotter
11-26-2005, 09:52 PM
Just goes to show you can never take a night off in this league.

coolhandtouc
11-26-2005, 09:52 PM
cmon just get one....a shutout at home is pathetic.

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 09:54 PM
6:17 to play in the third.

SLU now down 4-1 to Harvard.

5:24 to go.

coolhandtouc
11-26-2005, 09:54 PM
Just goes to show you can never take a night off in this league.

I agree, lets hope this is a lesson learned.

daredevilcu
11-26-2005, 09:56 PM
Dork announcer just said 3-2 Harvard. Penalty upcoming on the Knights, 4:45 left to go. Brekelmens goes for hooking.

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 09:58 PM
Insult to injury, Dartmouth going on the powerplay.

Cheel is dead, I can hear people yelling at the team. I can hear Goldie Knight as well.

Weller looking to get something going shorthanded. And nothing.

3:05 to play in the 3rd.

Heyotter
11-26-2005, 10:00 PM
If we are this flat, what does Roll think we are going to do with the goalie pulled?

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 10:00 PM
Center ice faceoff for an illegal substitution? That was odd. Anyhow, McNulty out. Grasping at straws now.

1:39 to play in the 3rd.

Jarsh
11-26-2005, 10:01 PM
Looks like I picked a good game to miss eh?

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 10:02 PM
Ahh yes, getting beat full ice by Mike Oulette for an empty netter.

Maybe we should save the celebration for Saturday night next time.

daredevilcu
11-26-2005, 10:04 PM
Down 4-0, pulling the goalie anyway. Wonder what Roll wants to do with this?

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 10:06 PM
Bunch of late penalties. Clarkson is obviously frustrated, as I imagine most people listening are.

And that will end it.

Dartmouth 4
Clarkson 0

That was the 7th place ECAC team shuting out the #3 offense in the country.

Consolation:
Harvard 4
SLU 1

Earl_Leatherland
11-26-2005, 10:10 PM
I don't know if a SLUt loss is consolation. I would rather see at least one north country team do well. They both seem to have lost their minds tonight.

Saturday Night quarterback question?

Why the change in alternating goalies on the weekend? Not that it would have made a difference since no offensive was mounted tonight. Just curious.

Brett Gobe
11-26-2005, 10:18 PM
SLU scores twice in the last 3 minutes. But its nots enough.

4-3 Harvard Final.

Earl, I would have like to seen the North Country win, but a SLU loss keeps the top 3 teams close at the top.

As far as McNulty, Leggio is concerned, Roll seems to be the type of coach who makes alot of descions based on the week of practice. Maybe McNulty had the better week. Maybe Roll felt this was a good weekend to find out if McNulty can be the #1 guy. Now that they have a week off then a trip to Ohio, I would imgine we will see Leggio against Bowling Green and McNulty against Miami.

Earl_Leatherland

Disappointing loss.

Jack it up guys. I have heard great things about you this year. This could be a real explosive year if you want it bad enough. (I like to write on this board as if some of the guys would actually read it and care.) Tonight is just one game. There are, what, 36 all together. Take the hard lesson and improve. I'll camp out in front of the arena if you make it to the final four. (Once again, as if someone would care.) Can I say "I have a rare disease and I want to see Clarkson win the NCAA title before I die." Probably not.

Go get em guys.

Useless driveler OUT!!

Well I just got home from watching Cornell BARELY beat Niagara at the Rochester War Memorial. I sure did enjoy celebrating all of the Purple Eagles goals on McKee. Disappointing to see we lost 4-0 tonight after doing so well the last few games.

i'm sure we'll do better next week
