Erik Cole and Willie Mitchell

So how about Cole's hat trick on Friday?? Anyone else see that? We were in the bar watching NHL Tonight and I did a double take, but it was true- he had a hat trick leading the Canes to a 5-4 win with the OT goal. “It was great,” said Cole. “I had two of my best friends from home that I grew up playing hockey with in the stands tonight. It was a tremendous experience. Minus the review, it would have been nicer but, it was pretty nice to celebrate it twice.”

I'm ecstatic for him. We went on the CU Bus trip a few weeks ago to see him and Todd White play in Ottawa, however he didn't seem to be on top of his game. Its very exciting to see him breaking out the way I knew he would.

Also Willie Mitchell scored last night for the Wild. Boy do we miss those guys or what?

My friend down in Philly sent me a note about Erik's hat trick. It's really super!!! Way to go, Erik! I saw Willie scored last night and I think Todd scored too against the Bruins in a loss. It's really great to see their names in the box scores. I'm excited about seeing Todd back in Boston in January. Unfortunately I am stranded in Rochester NY for the time being because of weather. You can't be stranded in Rochester due to Rochester weather can you? It must be due to the 7 feet of snow in Buffalo! I live in Rochester and travelling seems fine to me.

See, what happened was I was supposed to take the train back to Boston the 27th. It was running 6 hours late and was predicted to lose even more time before hitting Rochester. It hadn't gotten to Buffalo yet, either. That would've put me into Boston at a not so good hour of the early morning. Tried to change my ticket and the earliest I could get was for January 1st. So here I sit. If the forecast is correct, those of us north of 104 may get a fair bit of lake snow on Sunday. Next year I'm staying in Cambridge hehehe.

sounds like fun! i've been on that train- the lakeshore limited right?

i'm certainly not surprised about the delays though. they called the national guard to buffalo and everything- at least it finally stopped snowing!
