View Full Version : UNH Game
The Knights played a damn good game tonite. After UNH players showed no real physical agression the usually passive knights started checking and keeping the puck in the zone. In the third period tech put in mattson (a good move) and he didnt let any by, i think he should start, what does everyone else say?
oh and i forgot to add, McFeeters rules! He dominated tonight...
And point out some damn good freshmen:
Ken Scuderi -and-
Jay Latulippe
Congrats to the Knights. No one gave them any chance at all against UNH. I listened to the game over the net. Did not sound to me like Walsh played all that badly. Mattson played well especially at the end. I'd still go with Walsh.

i also think mattson deserves a start....walsh did not look good at all, 5 goals on 17 shots i believe. very good play by sophomore class, scoring the first 3 goals. also good to see poapst finally get on the board with 2 goals. Player of the Knight definitely Trevor Edwards....2 goals, great hustle and forechecking all night, and most impressively a great defensive play on a wildcat streaking in on the wing by himself, diving and knocking the puck away.

Obviously this win is huge for us!! If we can back it up with another tonight against another nationally ranked hockey east team it would make a statement to the nation about clarkson and the ECAC. LGT!!
As far as the goalie for tonight... I can't fault Walsh's play of late. He kept those ties and losses the past few weeks close, if only the skaters could have scored more... ah well those games are over. I listened to the UNH stream for the 3rd period last night and their anouncers were very impressed with Mattson. It sounds like he made some great saves. I think it would be good for both Mattson and for Walsh if Mattson starts now and then, and since he did so well last night why not give him the nod tonight?
Speaking of Goalies USCHO has a lot of great things to say about Lowell's goalie. Has anyone seen him play? What are our chances of making it a HUGE 4 point weekend?
Low, Lower, Lowell!
LET'S GO TECH!!
In this particular game the number of shots did not tell the story. Walsh was hung out to dry by the lack of defensive play by Tech. He made some damn good saves and could not be faulted for at least 4 of the five goals. Mattson played well also and it would be nice for him to get some time, but Walsh's play doesn't warrant him not starting.
