In the pre-game conversation with Bob Ahlfeld and George Roll, George said that Clarkson did not play well last knight. We have got to compete harder, as we made too many mistakes last knight. Cornell is very disciplined, so we had few chances. Cornell is so good defensively. Dustin was pulled because the coach wanted to have him rested and focused for toknight. Last year, Cornell was very worried about Matt Nickerson.
Kenny Scuderi made the decision not to play toknight because he felt his injured ankle caused him to make mistakes last knight. He will be replaced by Jamie McKinven.
PLAY YOUR HEARTS OUT, CLARKSON GOLDEN KNIGHTS.

Poor David McKee must be shaking in his skates, as his goals against average just increased....thanks to JAY LATULIPPE AND DAVID CAYER. Two Clarkson goals in the first period, but cornell got one power play goal.....too bad.

You played a nice game....but you have no class.
Best of luck!
Well, sometimes miracles don't happen. Congrats to Cornell. The better team won. Gotta give the knights credit toknight giving Cornell all they could handle. So many chances we had to win this thing but it was not to be. Last week Freshman Shawn Weller eliminates Union in OT, toknight freshman Topher Scott eliminates the Knights.
The good:
We never gave up and gave Cornell all they could handle
Traylen outstanding with 34 saves
Latulippe closes out his career with a goal
Cayer gets the 2nd goal from Dodge and Weller (all freshmen)
The not so good:
Scuderi could not play due to his ankle :(
Too many penalites early but we settled down in the 2nd and 3rd
Could not score once again on the PP
Latulippes crossbar in the 3rd
Had 3 or 4 super chances in OT but could not convert.
Congrats to the knights on showing the real Clarkson Hockey toknight. This kind of effort is needed next year each and every game and each and every shift. Thanks to the seniors: Blight, Faulkner, Latulippe, Scuderi, Porter.
Post game talk you could really tell the disappointment in Coach Rolls voice.

Here is one Cornell fan who is probably in the laundry room cleaning his shorts and thankful that this did not go to 3 games. As you said coolhandtou, some idiots have no class.

Honestly, I did not like the David McKee post. David has earned everthing he has accomplished this year. It was very low of me to go off about an excellent game like tonight, your right. I really am not a classless person, just got a little excited over the win. It could have gone either way. Sorry for coming into your forum and starting a problem. And btw, yes I was nervous it would go into game 3. ;) Bet of luck next year! :) Anyone still going to Albany?

These following comments are paraphrased and sometimes directly quoted from the post-game radio interview last knight between Bob Ahlfeld and Coach George Roll.
We were a much better team than we were Friday knight. As the game progressed, we began to wear Cornell down. This has been a bittersweet season. Those guys played awfully hard toknight, and it is a tough way for the seniors to go out. I am proud of the seniors this year. They were a great group to coach. George alluded to Kenny's decision not to play because he wasn't able to give 100% due to a high ankle injury. We finished in 9th place and went to Cornell two years in a row for the quarterfinal games.
There is a real good recruiting class coming in. George feels he has learned how to better handle adversity. The freshmen developed in different ways this year--they all worked hard. He is very proud of this team, and he expects improvements next year.
In a voice filled with emotion, George thanked the fans for their support.

THANK YOU: CHRIS, JAY, LYON, KENNY, AND MAC
WE WILL MISS YOU NEXT SEASON.

And so, another year of Clarkson hockey comes to a dramatic end. The Golden Knights do have a terrific group of very loyal fans, and it has been a most rewarding experience for me to converse with so many of you via the Roundtable.
Scott, all of us would like to express our gratitude and appreciation for all you personally do to provide us with this extraordinary opportunity to support the Clarkson Golden Knights. Thank you sincerely.
The end-of-the year banquet will be held on Saturday, April 3.
OUR KNIGHTS WILL BE AWESOME :)
